After a very busy summer and winter spent alternatively between touring his signature sound around Europe and sequestering himself in strict studio lock down, Marcus Visionary returns to his own label with his first major release for 2015. Toronto's Jungle Ambassador  brings his inimitable touch to remixing  Dancehall legend Cutty Ranks and UK Reggae impresario Curtis Lynch on four mixes of "Badness".  Cutty questions the current  state of over the top gangster posturing in today's youth asking "How them get so bad?", calling their bluff stating "I don't believe it, I'm just not convinced"  and reminding the listener about some of the real bad men of Jamaican street lore.   Marcus steps up first with the "Tear Out" mix utilizing Curtis Lynch's original riddim track to full effect incorporating  choice digi dancehall steel drums and percussion  into his crowd pleasing  Amen heavy rinse out. A piece of tried tested and true dub plate weaponry guaranteed to whip the dance into a frenzy.  Up next Marcus's "Bashy Mix" pulls away the elements leaving  a futuristic half step  that truly highlights the tracks Bashment origins and segues perfectly with more conventional Drum & Bass.  Rounding out the package is a "Tear Out Dub" mix which strips back and echo chambers out most of the vocals leaving behind an MC ready rave destroyer, and  a re-release of Marcus's original remix of the track which was previously issued on Lynch's Necessary Mayhem imprint.

The summer heat is blazing down on us, carnival is fast approaching  and Marcus Visionary, Toronto's Jungle ambassador,  wasn't  going to sit back and not release some of his signature Ragga Jungle artillery for the season.  After the success of his Cutty Ranks and Curtis Lynch assisted  "Badness" earlier in the year, The General (as he is reverently referred to in his home city) ropes in Russian Dancehall sensation Steppa Style for his latest bashment ready weapon, "Step Aside"

Reconstructing and interpolating inspiration from a classic King Jammy's riddim track, Marcus employs his  trademark clean and tough production aesthetic  consummately balancing between  Drum & Bass precision and chest out Junglist bravado.  Tight rolling beats and a monstrous Dubwise bass line provide the perfect platform  for Steppa Style to unleash his rapid fire lyrical assault letting all rival sounds know that they need to "Step Aside"  when Visionary and Steppa Style are in the building.  Two mixes to choose from for the DJ's with a  full vocal rinse out mix along with a stripped back Dub Version to cater to whichever direction the dance floor needs.
