In 2012 a new record company was created by the name of "Soloman's Forest Records". Now, in 2016 that label is transcending and pushing into a new era with a second incarnation, under the moniker "Suleiman Records". As its predecessor, Suleiman Records is a Montreal based vinyl & digital label, founded by DJ/producer, Darem Aissa. The name of the imprint pays homage to Suleiman Al-Aissa, one of Syria's most prominent contemporary poets. Its goal is to promote and produce positive, quality electronic music, involving a diverse array of talented artists, worldwide. Taking influences from House and Techno, and the many amalgamations in between, Suleiman Records' main concept is to explore the more underground and organic side of storytelling, while retaining its artistic integrity and heightened sense of involvement with its music.

2Qimic are a Spanish duo based out of Madrid, bringing their first single, “Ancient” to Steyoyoke Black. It’s an accessible release packed with 2 strong originals and two remixes from MPathy – balancing heavy beats with the kind of shimmering details that give ‘Ethereal Techno’ its name.
 
With ‘Ancient’, 2Qimic showcase a vivifying bass line accompanied by splashes of eminence through a complexity of synthesized sounds. ‘Backroom’ sheds light on the devastating beauty within darkness. And finally MPathy’s interpretation of “Ancient” is an evocative and emotive never-ending climax. Siren-like synths lead way to an ever-increasing attachment to the rhythms and melodies, in an almost addictive way. Last but not least, MPathy’s approach to re-construct ‘Backroom’ will leave you simmer, craving for more of his dark, hypnotic and patented groove groundwork.
 
Overall 2Qimic delivers a compelling EP which shows a mastery of tones - four tracks focus on a dancefloor-friendly side of techno. It’s an exciting release for the duo, with hopefully many more to come.

Theta Eridani (θ Eri, θ Eridani) is a star in the constellation Eridanus. It has the traditional name Acamar from the Arabik Ākhir an-nahr which means "the end of the river“.
Acamar is a double star with some evidence suggesting it is part of a multiple star system
Acamar's distance from Earth as measured by the Hipparcos astrometry satellite is approximately 120 light-years.
Ptolemy described Acamar as a first-magnitude star, which some have taken to be in fact Achernar, which today appears just above the horizon in Alexandria where Ptolemy lived.
Achernar, however, was not visible to Ptolemy (it is from Alexandria today due to procession); its declination in 100CE was -67, making it invisible even at Aswan. Ptolemy's Eridanus thus without doubt ended at Acamar, which rose about 10 degrees above the horizon from Alexandria. This fact besides positively identifying Acamar as the original "end of the river", also strengthens the case for Acamar having been first magnitude in ancient times.
