For episode 40, Shannon had the pleasure of chatting with Moroccan producer and artist Selwa Abd who creates music under the moniker @Bergsonist. The multihyphenate transcends between multiple mediums of art and design to discover what makes us human. Last year, Bergsonist captivated listeners with the release of her full-length project Middle Quest on Optimo Records. The project serves as a sonic autobiography of her identity and a body of work that captures her genre-less spirit. 
 
When she’s not producing, Bergsonist is busy tending to some of her other community-based projects like her Pick Up The Flow initiative--an online resource that promotes opportunities available to artists and creatives looking for income, grants, or scholarships. She also runs a music blog called BizaarBazaar. Bergsonist and Shannon chat about everything from bad Keto diets to grief. The busy producer also shares more on how Pick Up The Flow has been helping artists in need during the pandemic.
