Innerground are delighted to welcome the Xyde & Albees to Innerground with their brand new single, ‘The Shadow / Feed Your Soul’! Both established producers in their own rights, when these Italian titans team up, as they often do, something special is guaranteed. 

Xyde is renowned for his distinct blend of techy, dark, and commanding soundscapes, enriched with atmospheric and futuristic elements. Drawing inspiration from industrial and cinematic sounds, his signature imprint on Drum & Bass is unmistakable. With a string of notable releases, Xyde has been steadily making a name for himself within the underground circuit. 

Albees has played a pivotal role in nurturing and advancing the Drum & Bass scene in Italy since the early 2000s. A staunch advocate for the warm, nostalgic embrace of dusty vinyl tones, Albees draws profound inspiration from the early funk recordings, mesmerizing breakbeats, and the resonant vibes of 90s hip-hop. What sets Albees apart is his signature sound, characterized by the mesmerizing rhythm of rolling, organic-feeling drums, seamlessly intertwined with deep and weighty, yet intricately distorted techy basslines. This sonic concoction not only pays homage to the roots of the Drum & Bass movement but also propels it into innovative and exciting directions.

‘The Shadow’ kicks the Single off with a suitably named dark track - all the while beginning with contrasting light and airy notes. Transcending from atmospheric synths to a heavy drop, this one is a tried and tested floor filler!

‘Feed Your Soul’ concludes the Single with a mega dose of funk - jazzy piano notes and guitar strums are peppered with reverbating vocals for a groove-infused D&B number that you’ll have on repeat!
