As I stood in amazement, I caught something in the corner of my lazy eye. But I could not make the shape of it amid the omnipresent haze and burning sky. It takes a load off of the heart to admit it's given up, funny you should say: 'So has mine.' That was nothing. That was just me struggling. When we were strangers for the first time, one off-hand remark invited rude replies. Why did I apologize? When after all I was not feeling sorry. You did not recognize me then, just as you would not now, and that alone is enough to make me cry. That is nothing. That is just me struggling.

I AM A DUO (aka Junior Arruda) is a Brazilian/Canadian producer now residing in Sydney, AUS. Collecting samples and life experiences along the way.

Recently moving to Sydney has been a great opportunity to reconnect full-time to being an artist and to get dirty hands again, which resulted in a very prolific end of 2018/start of 2019 - 2 self-released EPS “The LoFi Boombap Files” and “The Remixes”, a EDM single “Playing Possum” and enough material to release 2 more EPs this 1st trimester.

The result of multiple musical personalities has unleashed Retro Futuristic, Lo-Fi Boombap, Riddim, Dub, Chillhop, EDM, as well as soundtracks for the real and imaginary. No need to choose boundaries. Does it have bass? Beats? Is it unexpected or a bit weird? Then we like it.
