Today we are announcing the first compilation that we are putting together with artists we’re close to or a part of the movement.  For 10 years our focus has always been to provide the best and a solid ground for artists to put out their music – we are now trying a new approach and putting our name on a release to showcase our favorite producers in a collection of tracks carefully picked by the staff.

The vibe in the release is a flight mode collection of tracks before a night out or just cruising in the car on a sunny day or evening. A moment you could have before all this technology came to life was going to your friends house not knowing what to expect and i think this could describe the project pretty well. 

The focus has always been beats that vary in around 70 to 90 bpm but here we are seeing a boost in the tempo and i truly hope all of the listeners will appreciate the tracks we’ve added, the producers were introduced to the idea i mentioned above and i let them fully experiment with a style and not limit them in terms of creation.

For each of these projects in the future our aim will also be to showcase photographers, illustrators or painters to bring out and show light on people we appreciate in this scene. For this project i wanted someone i know that spends his weekends around the streets of Los Angeles taking shots of some of the most beautiful cars & crews around the area.

This is the first project we are putting out under the label name on the catalog and i couldn’t be more honored for the artists that wanted to join. Thank you to everyone that’s showing support and spreading the word about this one. Already excited to cook up more projects like this!

Rewind is the first single out of the upcoming Rewind EP by SYNC.EXE, Jonathan Berroa and Jonah Malcom. These three teenage musicians and producers from Maryland & New York have a lot of passion for their music. All three of them are brilliant pianists and keyboardists. Together they managed to produce an incredible album which today we are glad to announce and introduce with this track. Rewind takes you on a chill journey filled with harmonies and keys resting on a strong foundation of R&B and Hip Hop beats. With the playful jazzy melodies taking us right into lofi territory. In this song you can clearly hear all three musicians going at it without restraints. Showcasing each of their musical signatures in a triumphant ensemble.

Inner Ocean Records is a platform and collective for emerging artists to release music and visual art. Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the label was conceptualized in 2012 as a vehicle for artists to have their music heard and seen, to build a community of passionate people.
