Norvik is the musical project of Hong Kong based artist Gabriel Chan. He makes mood music that is part ambient, part classical and part electronic, experimenting with different instruments and sounds to create music described as melancholic and decadent. His favourite thing to do is create soundtracks to non-existent films.

His latest EP, and debut on Drift, "In Between" is exactly that, a beautifully somber soundtrack that paints a very cinematic mood.

Few things induce tunnel-vision like human loss. Revelries - Isak Gaines’ debut pair of releases with Inner Ocean - explores the tunnel from entrance to exit through the lens of a relationship that was doomed to fail from the onset. Airy vocal melodies draped over jagged sample collages, loose textural washes, and intricately layered drum programming lead the way through the selfish, confused entryway of Pt. I to an exit in Pt. II that is both more reflective and outward-looking.

Part-producer, part-improviser, part-composer, and part-visual artist, Isak Gaines has a creative identity that isn’t easily categorized. Between densely-layered sample manipulations, intricate chamber arrangements, and multi-instrumental improvisations, his work focuses on experimentation in search of the point where they all intersect.

Sean Christopher Galloway is a sound artist and film composer based in Berlin by way of Los Angeles, CA. Under his Ave Grave moniker, Galloway creates textural compositions, often using field recording techniques and bits of melodic sound, manipulated on cassette tape loops and digital media. Combining these ambient and electronic textures with soft spoken pieces of traditional songwriting, Ave Grave's releases create a nuanced, quiet world; a place both wonderful and strange.

Inner Ocean Records is a platform and collective for emerging artists to release music and visual art.
