Yukema returns for another spin. This time Dole & Kom's recent work of art receives a different approach, with label honcho Madd Rod on remix duties. The Portuguese artist takes off from the legendary Berlin duo's trademark groove and takes it to an ethereal dimension. The remix is driven by rolling basslines, afro drums, and dreamy pads while keeping the danceability of the record at high levels. The single features again the original to highlight the contrasts between the two takes.

Mexican artist m i l l o debuts his new  '7 AM And We're Looking For Some More' EP, featuring two 128 bpm tracks led by acid leads and distorted vocals.
The first track, giving the name to the EP, is driven by a strong square bass and features an infusion of Electropop. It could easily be the soundtrack of a racing game, matching the adrenaline of the high speeds.
The B-side, 'Program the Sequence' comes more hypnotic and club-oriented, with driving vocals about the process behind m i l l o's production.

While cleaning my hdd, I came across the recording of my warm up and closing sets from almost one year ago at Central, on a lovely night with DJ Tennis. It's been ages since I posted a club set so thought of posting this snippet from the last hour.

Yesterday I played one of my favourite sets ever - definitely not perfect, but the energy in the room was wild. Played new and old tunes, from tracks from 1979 to tracks yet to be released. The smiles, the shouts of happiness, and the connection in the room that reminds us we are still human, and that clubbing is still a way to escape our day to day routines. Sadly club culture is at risk, and this was probably my last set at Renate as this legendary institution is set to close its doors soon, but I'll bring this and many other nights there in my memory for life.

Last year I met Tina in Leiria, Portugal, after her show at Stereogun, during Monitor festival. We clicked, and talked music, and we got to the idea of me doing a remix of one of her tracks. Driving home, I listened to her two albums, and every track felt like “the one”, so I ended up downloading a bunch and trying to jam over them, before making my decision. I ended up feeling “Words Unspoken” the most, and decided to ask Tina for the stems. After 18 versions (perfectionism meets ADHD), we’re finally putting out the last one next week via my imprint, @innershahrec.

Such a pleasure and honour to work with such a talent!

Pour ce numéro 169, entre rythmes et notes, @maddrod incarne la curiosité qui sommeille en Rodrigo Pinheiro (c'est son vrai nom). Originaire de Lisbonne, DJ, producteur et directeur d'Inner Shah Recordings, il défie les frontières entre les genres de la musique électronique grâce à une approche à la fois nostalgique et avant-gardiste. Installé à Berlin depuis 2022, il a redécouvert son identité à travers un son rétrofuturiste qui a culminé avec son deuxième album studio, Sad Behaviour (2023) – une plongée robuste, punk et intime dans le passé, tournée vers l'avenir. Après sa sortie, il a passé un court séjour au Portugal, renouant avec la scène club du pays, créant sa série d'événements, Panthera, et travaillant sur Sad Behaviour: Expanded Edition (2024), qui a ajouté quatre nouveaux singles à l'album.
Son dernier album, l'EP Make You Sweat, sorti sur Inner Shah en février 2025, prouve qu'il maîtrise parfaitement la recette de ce mélange de genres. Rétro, brut et implacable, son son donne le pouls du mouvement.
