On April 15, VP Records unleashes Sizzla's Radical, a collection of rare and unreleased material during the 2014 Grammy nominated icon's formative years.  Radical unearths musical gems from the Xterminator label sessions between the early '90s and '00 that were produced by the late legendary Philip Fattis Burrell. Fattis helped forge some of Sizzla's best work to date, including his 1997 breakthrough album Praise Ye Jah that is widely considered one of the top conscious reggae albums of its time. 
 
Whether Sizzla is addressing society's ills or singing love songs, the like-minded Radical (overseen under the direction of Fattis' son Kareem Burrell) features the reigning king of roots' honest, raw and thought-provoking lyrics. Sizzla's palpable spirit and vigor for life shine throughout this revolutionary collection of obscure or previously unreleased material, which features live instrumentation from Jamaica's studio aces like Sly Dunbar, Steven Stanley, Earl 'Chinna' Smith and Dean Fraser.
 
Since his emergence in the early 90s, Sizzla has undeniably put his stamp on thegenre regardless of the current style or trend. The Jamaica-born reggae vocalist's previous effort The Messiah (released in 2013 on VP Records) earned him his first Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album. Rap mogul Jay Z also recently sampled Sizzla's timeless classic "Solid As A Rock" on his latest album, while hip hop artists like 50 Cent and Ja Rule used the same tune in their songs too.

We are honored to present this song in homage to the Water Protectors and Indigenous Defenders at Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota, USA.  More strength to the ones who are putting their lives on the line to physically stand up to the oil industry in an effort to halt the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline. This project will destroy countless watersheds and will surely leak large amounts of chemicals into the environment and we are thankful for the efforts to halt its construction. Furthermore we recall that this land was stolen by acts of war and political manipulation and proclaim that all so called “property rights” and treaties or agreements (broken or upheld) regarding American land are invalid under natural law. We submit that the indigenous and those who are advocating for management plans that honor the health of ecosystems and the long term effects on humanity are the true “Rights” holders when it comes to decisions of how to use the land…   In reverence for the sacred providence of our home on earth…. In honor of the ancestors who proceeded us on this journey…. In opposition to those who oppress people, destroy life, and pollute water for selfish material gain….  In livication to the protection and uplifment of the future generations…. In alignment with principles and values that nurture and support life…. At Chopstick HQ its not just the dub plate collection that weighs a ton, with a non stop diet of  the famous Jacky Murda Taco’s the lads have put on a few pounds to say the least.

So to get in shape for the summer King Yoof & Aries decided to recruit Jungles answer to Mr Motivator , Jungle Ambassador and all round top bloke General Levy to save the day.

What we didn't expect was some ginger dude called Ed something sheer an? to turn up with a acoustic guitar to the Chopstick studio asking can he collaborate with the General and make some Jungle.

We let Ed do his thing but ended up only using a few lines from him and a bit of guitar and sent him on his way, think he's working with those dodgy Kurrupt FM lads now. 

This Dubplate was leaked out on social media and with over a million views it has now become the workout anthem for the gym going massive. Due to this success Chopstick Dubplate has opened up several Zumba classes around the world.
