Drawing from his inspirations like never before, Urban Animal is Claude VonStroke’s most personal LP to date. Naturally this remix package has been curated with the same amount of passion and features some of the California birdman’s favourite producers.

Solomon, Eprom, Dixon, Jimmy Edgar, Photek, Kill Frenzy, Justin Jay, Doorly, Krust, Tanner Ross and SCNTST… It reads like the ultimate who’s who in creative electronic music. There's even a remake of "Can't Wait" by VonStroke himself.

Each remixer was hand picked as an innovator or trend setter of their genre. From personal inspirations such as Photek and Krust (two men who are responsible for getting the dirtybird bossman into production in the first place) to exciting young talents such as Justin Jay, SCNTST and Eprom via old friends and kindred spirits (Jimmy Edgar, Doorly, Solumon and Tanner Ross), the whole package is as personal, eclectic and as the original album itself. Bolstering the original message of the album with clarity and creativity, each one of these revisions demands your attention!

German duo Obscure Shape & SHDW drop three robust Techno tracks in their first full release on Rekids this May.

One of the most exciting acts in Techno today, Obscure Shape & SHDW are the founders of From Another Mind - the label and party series making waves in South-Germany. Aside from Rekids, where they remixed Radio Slave’s ‘Vision’ last year, the pair’s abilities in the studio have seen them invited by Slam for two separate remixes of Monoloc and Envoy on Soma, with more projects to be announced.

‘Himmel Und Erde’ is a cavernous cut boasting colossal kicks and skipping percussion before a tantalising melody comes into play. ‘Am Ende Der Welt’ is more deep and atmospheric in comparison, blending dusky percussion with echoing synths until ‘Gefallene Engel’ demonstrates syncopated drums and an otherworldly hook that conjure up a mesmerising aesthetic to conclude the release.

US based Jeff Derringer makes a welcome return to the Soma roster for his latest EP, False Flags. As usual, the Smart Bar resident serves up 3 slices of his own unique brand of Techno. 

Each track on the EP defined by it’s own colour, kicks off with Black Flags. A quite melancholic affair that still manages to weigh in heavy with its pervasive sonic rhythms. Red Flags takes a darker turn with a more direct and abrasive sound, almost sub aquatic at times, Derringer builds a solid air of tension throughout. White Flags rounds the EP off nicely on a deeper tip than the previous offerings. Broken beats play nicely to the atmospheric tones that glide effortlessly through the backdrop of the track. 

Another painstakingly crafted EP from the US native adds to the ever-growing Soma catalogue.

Adam Beyer’s Drumcode is growing from strength to strength, year after year, with a non-stop release schedule showcasing both the labels new and most established artists with cutting edge techno beats. After 20 years since its inception, Drumcode continues to push the boundaries, firmly grounding their position as the world’s No.1 techno label.

Drumcode’s youngest rising star, Layton Giordani, exploded on to the scene after his debut album “Where It Begins” back in February, after scoring some of the biggest festivals in Europe this summer, he now returns with an exciting collab titled “Live Again”.

NY born and bred, Danny Tenaglia has always been a true inspiration for Layton since his teenage years, so when the opportunity to collaborate with the fellow NY legend was on the cards, it was a dream come true.

Danny and Layton join forces for the lead track ‘Live Again’. Its deep and dark with a slowly building pad wrapping around a modulating synthetic hook. The dark and effected vocal echo takes the track into a hypnotic vibe.

‘Take It Back’ delivers a pumping drive the moment it fires up. Snapping percussive force and an infectious rhythmic groove will unhinge dance floors nationwide, whilst ‘Secrets of Vibration’ has a rattling, yet blistering low end presence to it.

In what’s become an annual tradition; Gregor Tresher and Petar Dundov have joined forces for another timeless tech dispatch. It’s been this way since their first collaborative foray ‘Duo Tone’ in 2011 and the results are always incredible. 

This one is particularly special… After years of releasing their collaborations on Music Man, Cocoon and Gregor’s Break New Soil, ‘Metamorphing’ is the superconductors’ debut on Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD and comes in hot pursuit of Nicole’s epic 12 minute revision of Gregor’s ‘Quiet Distortion’ earlier this year. 

We kick off with ‚Sphinx’, where a mammoth rolling drum arrangement carries an evocative riff deep into a mystic breakdown before firing it back out with an additional hook that has already been driving dancefloors insane in Gregor, Petar and Nicole’s sets throughout the summer.

‘Silo’ presents a somewhat haunted theme as echoed chimes shimmer over a deep penetrative groove rising and rising to a destination that only comes into view once you’re past the point of frenzied return. 

Finally we hit ‘Metamorphing’, a track perfectly tailored to MOOD’s dark shadowy signature; a complex weave of cosmocity, a sneaking arpeggio weaves and mutates with a fluidity that sucks you right in and refuses to let you go.

Releasing music for over a decade, John Monkman's latest productions have pushed him into the limelight and onto the dance floor. ‘Make Noize’ is his latest release which, by landing Last Night On Earth, makes further acknowledgement to his role in the international electronic dance music sphere. The EP as a whole is an eclectic journey, as ‘Mad Hatter’ and ‘Make Noize' create a galactic atmosphere through bold textures, while ‘INAWIO’ invokes something a little.

Amsterdam native Patrice Baumel has had a stellar 2017 already. His Afterlife debut 'Glutes' was a favorite played across dark dance floors all year and his follow-up saw him team up with Miami powerhouse Danny Daze. Now, he's back at it with a remix of singer and producer Monolink's single off his upcoming album, 'Sirens'.

Baumel allows Monolink's slinky vocals to shine across a tantalizing, yet dissonant techno soundscape that fits perfectly into his growing, slow-burning repertoire. The title track of their upcoming EP is a chiming, multi-layered arrangement raising an ethereal take on the techno genre. The label describes the production as cosmic, with spiraling synth lines and a beating drum.

Dubai-based Subandrio is, in musical terms, considered a very safe pair of hands. His career began back the late 90s when Progressive House reigned supreme. Now with a Frisky Radio show - Global Mission - and a DJ diary bursting at the seams, Subandrio makes his Sudbeat debut with four exceptionally crafted tracks. 

‘Fugue State of Mind’ is a masterpiece of subtle, mindful power. Sonics and FX dance with abandon on the skippy percussive backbone of this track as the signature motifs rise and fall along with the tension and release.
‘Rain of Drums’ hacks back to the glory days of prog with low end sweeps, bleepy rhythmic arps and a satisfyingly groovy bass line. 
‘Rewired’ picks up the pace with a plucked bass taking the lead ably assisted by strong sound design and some well chosen samples. 
Rounding out the pack is ‘Celestial Being’. Tribal rhythms and FX lead the way making space for echoed arps a huge bowel shaking bassline and oodles of feel good factor.

We got to know Dan Only, an exciting emerging artist from the Toronto underground, when he collaborated with Jesse Futerman on our recent “Deep Love 2017” compilation. His debut record, released on Adam Marshall’s “New Kanada” imprint, introduced his deep instinct for electronic music and unique, boundless approach to deep house. An avid collector of old school gear you can hear the analogue warmth throughout this intricately detailed yet heavy hitting four-tracker.

“It’s Clear” opens. A solid House jam, its thumping drums and resonating melodies follow a steady bass groove ready to heat up the dance floor. “Be Major…Believe” leads in more gently before warbling key lines and synth details layer over gritty percussion pushing the mood closer and closer to bursting. This one conjures images of summer nights and distant coast lines.

On the B, simmering vocals and tropical rhythms dance amongst straight forward house energies on “Don’t You Understand”. Rich with subtleties, it’s somehow smooth while seriously impactful. Finally we have “Truffles". A very modern twist on Disco vs House it’s an original Italo infused gem with an edit feel, that maintains the vibe of an 80s era hedonistic night throughout. Perfect as a peak time mood elevator or blissful, hands-in-the-air closing record.

We’re convinced Dan Only’s future is bright and are overwhelmed by the quality and musicality of this, his first solo EP on Dirt Crew Recordings.
