Following the success of his 'Cold Shoulder' remix on the label in 2021, @helsloot is back on Get Physical with another fresh house cut. 

Helsloot spent ten years working behind the scenes in dance music before bringing his own deep, progressive house and techno productions to the fore. He has slowly but surely become a real underground mainstay with releases on the likes of Be Yourself, Astralwerks and Poesie Musik. Combining introspective and futuristic moods, his tune ‘Because You Move Me’ picked up over 100 million streams in just six months. 

His latest offering is another hit in the making: 'Let's Pretend' is an elastic house cut with retro-future chords bringing a sense of funk under steamy female vocals. They are cosmic and full of colour and light up the crisp groove which marches onwards through pixelated leads and twinkling keys. It is sure to electrify the dance floor. The classy extended mix draws out the drum grooves and goes long for an even more lasting impact on the dance floor.

However, "Branka", the second sneak-peak of Oliver's forthcoming "Trip to Sanity" album, marks the maiden studio collaboration between the three veterans of the field. Needless to say, the result is set to blow up dance floors around the globe: While the title track "Branka" pairs a chugging groove with a climax of melancholic piano chords and flute flurries to hands-up effect, "Orbit" is more deranged with its thumping kicks, old-school rave harmonies and crunchy snare rolls. Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, the Swiss duo recording and performing as Adriatique, sign the third Afterlife release of 2018, ‘Ray’. The two-track single follows their remix of Tale Of Us & Vaal’s ‘Monument’ in 2017, and marks the beginning of Adriatique’s own journey with Afterlife Recordings.

We first heard of ‘Ray’ in Tale Of Us’ sublime fabric 97 CD, where its soaring melody ended the mix on a euphoric high. It stands out as a scintillating dancefloor composition, whose lead synth line will no-doubt create many memorable dancefloor moments. ‘Voices From The Dawn’ takes a more subtle approach to the same thrilling effect. Driven by the rolling beats, it reveals itself sporadically in spirited surges of life.

These two tracks not only show the range of Adriatique’s production focus, but show them to be highly-accomplished whether making hypnotic, peak-time grooves or epic songs for the end of the night.
