Visionquest have made a big impact in their first two releases on the imprint from Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves. Now they fill up the dancefloor with light on ‘Dark Song’ EP from the compelling Tale Of Us.

Engulfing the listener in a luscious wall of sound from the onset of ‘Dark song’, Tale Of Us take an abstract and harmonious approach to their music. Understated beats and yearning vocals stretch the imagination to new heights in a new strain of house music engaging the senses through warm tapestries of sound.

Using similar low-end whispered sounds that resonate in a deep place, ‘Circle Of Love’ is a magnetic slice of dancefloor music. Its skipping beats and rippling bass enthralls but it’s the sensual vocal that gives ‘Circle Of Life’ a special edge and adds an element of mystery. ‘Valiant’ completes the package with an epic dose of bubbling beats and pads, inventing a masterpiece hybrid of techno and deep house leaving you spellbound.

Tale of Us are Berlin-based DJ and production partnership Karm and Matteo who are currently re-writing the rulebook for deeply moving, emotional electronic music. Together they share a sonic vision that pulls together elements of house and techno with influences from pop, nu-disco and even rock music. While all of their productions are instantly recognisable as Tale Of Us, these range from straight-up dance floor jams to low-slung ambient tracks and more abstract compositions. While both originally hail from North America, Karm was born in Toronto and Matteo in New York, they moved to Italy as children, which is where they met and formed the close working bond that they now share.

At present they are based in Berlin, an inspirational frontier, which has given them numerous opportunities to build relationships with fellow musicians who share their unique musical outlook and resulted in this special Visionquest release. Prior to this, Tale Of Us tracks could be found on labels such as Barraca Music, Cocoon' and Life & Death (the Tale Of Us remix of Thugfucker ‘Disco Gnome’ on Life and Death was hailed by Mixmag as one best records of 2010) and have put out various remix collaborations with fellow Visionquest label mates Shaun Reeves & Ryan Crosson. Pünktlich zu seinem 30 jährigen DJ-Jubiläum erscheint mit “Facets / Work Out - Unrelased & Exclusive“ ein weiterer Longplayer von Toni Rios. 

Die Kompilation knüpft an sein letztes Album „Facets“ an und bringt noch einmal Remixe der Originale des 2018 erschienen Longplayers. 

Das Album war geprägt von Tonis Einflüssen der letzten 30 Jahre, immer changierend zwischen House, Trance und Techno, und nicht zuletzt von seinen langen Residencies in den legendären Clubs Omen, U60311 und Cocoon in seiner Heimatstadt Frankfurt. Ganz zu schweigen von seinen DJ Touren rund um den Globus, auf denen er seinen Arbeitsplatz mit den größten internationalen DJs geteilt hat. 

Mit dieser Kompilation beendet Toni Rios nun das Kapitel „Facets“, sie bringt noch einmal 18 Remixe, von denen etliche bisher unveröffentlicht sind und exclusiv auf Facets/ Work Out - Unreleased & Exclusive erscheinen. 

Ein weiteres Highlight dieses Albums ist, das Künstler aus 14 Nationen für die Remixe gewonnen werden konnten.

Just in time for his 30th DJ anniversary, another longplayer by Toni Rios called "Facets / Work Out - Unrelased & Exclusive" will be released. The compilation follows his last album "Facets" and brings remixes of the originals of the 2018 released longplayer. The album was characterized by Toni's influences of the last 30 years, always changing between house, trance and techno, and not least by his long residencies in the legendary clubs Omen, U60311 and Cocoon in his hometown Frankfurt. Not to mention his DJ tours around the globe, where he shared his workplace with the biggest international DJs. With this compilation Toni Rios concludes the chapter "Facets", it features 18 more remixes, some of which are unreleased so far exclusively on "Facets / Work Out - Unrelased & Exclusive"!

Another highlight of this Album is that artists from 14 nations could be won over for the remixes.
