I wanted to include everything that I am as a musician and DJ in it, what I listen to daily and what shapes me as an artist. Conceptually I wanted to represent moments of light and darkness, perfection and imperfection, rawness and hyper-polishment. My aim was to illustrate this conflict between worlds and while making them coexist. 

An album for me it’s where you can experiment and try to show your full scope as an artist. Subconsciously it’s all there. I hope it is as challenging for you as it was for me. That evokes feelings, reactions, emotions, conversations and thoughtfulness. 

From now on it’s not mine anymore, it’s from you. It’s from the world, it’s from the ones that take time of their valuable life to listen. Own it, disown it, love it or hate it - it’s from me to you.

Dixon executive produced all the tracks in this album, he worked tirelessly like it was his own music. And in the end it became. In the end it is.
His ability to push new frontiers forward, unapologetically, without looking back or asking for permission  is a big inspiration and this album could only happen because of his openness for new sounds and challenges. Starting out in 2001 to tie up some loose ends from our regulars, SPEICHER has since become a guarantee for vanguard dance sounds from all over the planet, allowing KOMPAKT to invite and support electronic artists that comfortably inhabit both the delicate and the more deliberate ends of the electronic music spectrum. For SPEICHER 83, Italian tag team HUNTER/GAME present two hand-cranked live jams rich in atmospheric detail and flattening punch. Due to the somewhat non-negotiable nature of a hardware live jam, you'd be forgiven to expect a certain sloppiness in the details that most real-time composers make more than up for in energy and perseverance – let us introduce you, then, to HUNTER/GAME, the duo of Italian producers based in Milan and New York who seem to effortlessly combine the intimate intricacy of a studio layout with the powerful punch of a stage combo. Immediately convincing listeners with some pretty masterful execution skills, both cuts HEXAGON and BERMUDA go on to sneak into anthem territory, patiently adding layer after layer of sonic imagination to a strong assortment of core beats. An absolute must for any discerning fan of hand-cranked electronic bliss with an edge.

Skatman Unveils Upcoming Double EP “ Believin’ " on Cognitive Prophecy

Berlin-based, Tunisian-born DJ, producer, and label curator Skatman is starting the new year with the release of his highly anticipated double EP, “ Believin’ ", dropping on the 10th of January via his acclaimed label, Cognitive Prophecy (CP records). Known for his genre-defying sets and productions, Skatman continues shaping contemporary electronic music's soundscape with this bold new release.

'Believin’’ serves as both a showcase of Skatman’s evolution as an artist, constantly pushing boundaries with collections that span multiple genres. This double EP is structured as a journey, blending hypnotic grooves, raw textures, and dreamy harmonies across seven tracks that flow seamlessly from the dance floor to introspective listening.

The EP opens with 'Fresh’, setting the stage with a raw, dark, and industrial broken beat offering that introduces Skatman’s sonic vision. It flows into the pulsating energy of 'Merci', a track juxtaposing minimalistic melodies with rich, textured layers. 'Feel It' injects an element of 90s house, while the title track, ‘Still Believin’ featuring the Hungarian singer Gianet, anchors the EP with its soulful vocals and hypnotic rhythms.

On the second half, 'Forget It' shifts gears, offering slight acidic elements, while 'Dream On' delivers an anthemic blend of cinematic melodies, epic vocals, and icy hi-hats. The EP concludes with 'Circle of Despair (Epilogue Beatless Version)', a meditative, ambient piece that leaves listeners in a reflective state.

DJIHO is inspired by Mozambique’s red sand - “djiho” in Changana - a symbol of memory, rhythm, and ancestral spirit. Blending deep Afrotech and Afrohouse rhythms, the track carries the energy of dancing barefoot in sacred earth, surrounded by the heartbeat of drums and voices of those who came before.
