This next release from label boss Boris, delivers a masterpiece for a big-room warehouse techno setting. Language possesses all the dark rolling drum patterns, heavy percussions and heaping layers that make up a classic industrial techno piece. Carlo Lio adds in pronounced kick and sizzling hi¢s that continue to grow throughout the track, creating an energetic swell in the room. Language is one of those tracks that cannot contain its ability to take-over any size room.

I wrote Value right when lockdown started. I had a feeling that the simmering unrest that has been slowly increasing since Trump took office would boil over before the pandemic was done, so I wrote this track to capture my feelings about the current state of America. I always planned to self release it, but I was waiting for the moment when it would resonate most with those who hear it. That moment is now. Given the recent slew of senseless killings of African Americans, the murder of George Floyd, increasing violence, and escalation of force by the US government, it is time for me to share this message with you.

I am ashamed to be American right now. This country is broken. I am sick of seeing white supremacist rhetoric peddled by government officials and the LEOs who are supposed to protect us. I am sick of police brutality. I am sick of reading about lives cut short because of power-tripping racists in uniform. I will not stand by and watch my countrymen/women be murdered in broad daylight over the color of their skin, and neither should you.

Black lives matter. It is time for all of us, white people especially, to rise up and DEMAND change and true equality. We must raise our voices in unison and fight for the rights of ALL Americans. No justice, no peace.
I hope this track inspires you to rise up with us.

For the entire month of June, I will be donating all of the bandcamp revenue I receive on Value to the Minnesota Freedom Fund and other bail funds.
