Salut c’est Satin 2000 :)
Je fais de la musique douce sur mon synthé accompagné de toute ma panoplie de petits objets étranges qui viennent faire du bruit dans mon micro. Parfois, comme ici, je mets ensemble des morceaux de d’autres musicien.nes qui m’inspirent et que j’aime bien écouter. Cette fois-ci, j’y ai aussi glissé deux morceaux que j’ai produit et qui viennent de sortir sur une cassette nommée Dissimulation Végétale (Errata Tapes, 2023)
Le printemps, c’est ma saison préférée. Voici donc une sieste ambient aux accents floraux pour somnoler dans les parcs, les forêts ou les jungles imaginaires. Ça bourgeonne, ça pousse dans tous les sens, ça fait des chatouilles dans les oreilles et ça remplit les stocks de vitamine D.
Une tracklist entrecoupée par des interludes fait de mes dernières expérimentations sonores fraîchement sorties de mon laboratoire (ma chambre).

Sieste Ambient #103 w/ Satin 2000

For this new Breton release, Editentités is proud to welcome transe ar gwez from Rennes, delivering four remixes paying tribute to the diverse and engaging discography of musician and composer Roland Becker. 

By collaborating with other artists, but more importantly on his solo albums, Roland Becker used his deep knowledge of Breton culture and music to explore and experiment different styles and practices: celtic jazz (Fallaën, 1982), ethnomusicology and song collecting (Jour de fête & fête de nuit, 1995), electronic music (Chants dans la nuit - Kanou an noz, 2008), Breton folklore and popular melodies (Immrama, 2010)… Tracks Locqueltas, Bortifaouen et Mané Guen are taken from this last record, while Kan Dek is built from a bonus section of the album Chants dans la nuit - Kanou an noz.

Eventually, Roland Becker himself explains it best: “Breton music, if it can be summed up, is just a note. The rest is a pretext.”

@texturcph is proud to present The New Old, the first solo album of Nathan L. The New Old is de-composed chamber music on ketamine. The New Old is a performative practice based on improvisation and chance (& ketamine). The New Old is noise. The New Old is not noise. The New Old is an emotional act of transforming, of doing violence to the integrity of the original material as a constructive act of demolition.

The album surfaces from a unique and inordinate working process in which sonic material from various traditional classical instruments are shredded, forced into feedback loops, and mixed with recordings of crashing software, futuristic self-built instruments, and tender
manual processing. 

The New Old is the eighth release on Textur, a non-profit label and music collective rooted in Copenhagen, with an ambition to create a platform for exposure, collaboration, and community among artists outside the commercial music scene. 

Nathan L. is a musician, composer, and visual artist who thrives in uncertainty and finds delight in the entropy of noise. Originally trained in classical flute, jazz composition, and arrangement, L. is now involved in various experimental and genre-breaking contexts spanning improvisation, electronics, installation and performance.

Another theme for a dislocating city w/ Georges Dj Huberman (26/12/23)

It's been a while but we have a few great records coming up. And we're happy to announce that our next records will be available outside of France through the infamous Boomkat distro.

First off, France Sauvage. France Sauvage ("Wild France" in French) is Arno Bruil, Johann Mazé and Manuel Duval playing electronics, synths and drums. They’ve been breaking ground for more than ten years and there aren't many stones in the European DIY venue circuit that they’ve left unturned in their wake as a band or under other their solo monikers (Descendeur, Le Cercle des Mallissimalistes, Rien Virgule, Ensemble UN, Lord Rectangle etc).

Their unique sound deceives attempts to compare. It couldn’t have formed without a strong tie to industrial music, outsider art, sound collage or dark wave, but it’s all fully digested and their sound goes well beyond these references. With no repertoire and no rehearsals, their music is a live improvised beast. It’s dense, tense, noisy, catchy and playful all at once.

The best way to describe them is to say that’s they’re one of the rare cases of an actual electronic live music band. Their use of a wide range custom-built electronic instruments shows no self- indulgence in virtuosity – every part of their performance output, from the sound to the overall progression is extremely tight.

Welcoming them to In Paradisum feels special, as their concert was the first time we stepped into the legendary experimental music venue Les Instants Chavirés in Paris. France Sauvage's imagination probably and subconsciously helped define the lines of direction around the music which we’ve been publishing on our label since then.

With no surprise given their live focus, a good half of the band’s output so far have been live outtakes, sometimes including audience noise. This one, though, feels recorded straight from a garage studio. Surprisingly, it sounds more like a "proper album" – a notion they would probably laugh at. Thanks to its clearly defined and varied songs, there is a strong sense of narrative that permeates throughout the entire album.

The album has the edge of Pan Sonic if they had gone to the countryside for a feast or sonically channels the twisted mindset of the famous 20 Jazz Funk Greats album cover by TG. France Sauvage have sometimes described their music as "free rural" and maybe this record is the best example of it– communal music for the young century, a village orchestra for the forthcoming collision of locals and city-exploding bourgeois.
