Arctyx @ Inquiry: Curiosity 2021

With a heart full of gratitude I present the live recording of this progressive & melodic techno set that ripped through the cold desert air at 3:30am. This full moon gathering was one for the books, with top notch music from start to finish and incredibly connected, healing energies and interactions with so many close friends from our tribe. We also danced to remember and celebrate our dear friend Andy Friedman who we lost this month.

"30 F*CKIN' YEARS!", someone shouted as this momentous occasion came to a close. 30 years of Moontribe Full Moon Gatherings -- just WOW. Such a wonderful gift to be a part of this unique community of artists, musicians, creators, dancers, lovers, family and friends, young and old. Words cannot describe what it has meant to me, and means to me to be able to participate in the "intense, but dancefloor friendly" magic that has been such a huge part of, and impact upon, my life. I am deeply grateful for each and every one of you and wish for everlasting peace and joy in yours. Thank you, Moontribe Collective. I love you.

Here is my sunrise set from day 2, a 3+ hour journey of groovy psy tunes to get your juices flowing and your brain tingling. I hope you enjoy it. Due to an issue with the original recording, I decided that I wanted to share this with you anyway, so I re-recorded it, and threw in a couple bonus tracks that I had wanted to play but wasn't able to the first time around. Life has been busy this last little window of time. I continue striving to strike a balance between work and play, and am grateful for the lessons and growth that come from the journey, and for the incredible amount of love and support I receive from all of my beautiful connections. 

I'm feeling especially excited for a couple of special upcoming gigs, not least of all Dragon Dreaming, one of my all time favourite gatherings, stacked this year with so much talent including so many of my favourite beings. 

I unwittingly overwrote my USB recently, losing not just a couple of recordings from recent sets but also the tracklist history. This has left me reluctant to upload recreations of those sets. This weekend I've decided instead to record another mix for my KONECAST series, the first in a year.

This KONECAST recording is reminiscent of the vibe from the first half of my set at LEVITATE (minus the dollop of groovy tech house and 140+bpm techno at the end, which will likely be featured in upcoming KONELIVE and KONECAST sets).

BONUS:
Around the 59 minute mark the music goes silent for one second. This was due to cutting out a part of the mix that was absolutely destroyed due to some DJ booth interference that involved me slapping away the hands of some people enjoying themselves a bit too much. This one's for you, kid.

I was on opening duties for the December Cold Moon so I warmed up a bit and got to business with some dark techno grooves to keep the bodies moving. I had a great time as always and felt great about setting the night off. So blessed to have the opportunity to play at such a legendary event with all the Moontribers.
