Were it not for the bright moon and the ancient souls in their nocturnal ritual, he would have lost his way somewhere over the jungle.

We at Sangoma Records are happy to present our first EP by Brazilian artist CyK. The man behind that project is Ciro Mendes, who is no stranger to this label – he has already released an album with his project Alchemy Circle along with Caio Wandalsen on Sangoma. For this release, he pulled quite some tricks off his sleeve and surprised us with his unique style and phat production, including a rocking collaboration with one of Brazil’s most promising acts – Konebu. Cyk explores the wilder, more foresty side of the psychedelic spectrum and is another great example of strong psychedelia made in Brazil, which we love so much. Big thanks and appreciation to our dear friend Nicolás Rosenfeldtown once again for his stunning artwork.

Insane Creatures returns with her new work comprising three tracks, conceptualised and ardently crafted in the luscious Catalonian forests of Spain.

A psychedelically powerful modular adventure programmed with the brain and the episodic memories bootstrapped on present, past and future life path, resulting in an endless cosmos of inextricably wired and intricately complex patterns.

Patterns are woven in the fabric of the homogeneous and symmetric universe and observed in the microcosm and macrocosm, from nautilus shells to spiral galaxies, from human neural networks to the cosmic web of superclusters and filaments.
Patterns gave rise to the standard model and supersymmetry, and paved the way for our quantum understanding of the world, chaos theory and the fractal properties of the self-similar scale invariant nature.

We are all self-oscillating patterns and our life’s memories are hard wired in the symmetry of the cosmos.

Biography:

Angela Flo Llinas a.k.a Gelika/ Insane Creatures/ Tyndra) born in Barcelona in 1987, had her first connection with music through the violin when she was 10 years old, later on at the age of 12 she started listening to electronic music and after a few years she came across Psychedelic Trance music and straight away loved the sound of it. In 2005 she started djing Psytrance and then she moved to the United Kingdom (London) and started to play in the London Psytrance scene. In 2008 she decided to go deeper and started to study Music production at the London School of Sound and a Music Technology Specialist BA (Hons) in the University of West London.

Angela now have a number of releases in different labels around the globe since 2009. Her first EP ‘’Fractal Dreams’’ was in 2011 at Green Wizard Records, her second EP “Complex Behaviour” in 2014 at Purple Hexagon Records; were she also compiled the V.A.'s Quantum Animism 1.0 and 2.0 under the name of Gelika, and she released her first full album ‘’Underwater Mysteries” in 2017 with her Insane Creatures project and now her last EP “Wired Patterns” released on 2020 at Catar Records. Angela also has a faster side project under the name of "Tyndra" and another two Psychedelic Trance projects “Moirae Somnus” with Daniel Grassman (Isometric) & "Terpsicore" with Savina Scattaglia (Yara), along with her mastering and recording skills (Gelika Mastering Studios). In 2016 she opened her own record label ‘’Catar Records” were she compiled the V.A.“Epiphysis Cerebri”, V.A.“Nepeta Cataria” and V.A."Novem Vitas".  Now she is working on the second Insane Creatures album,  different compilations for Catar Records (Catars/DJ Gelika) and on a number of extra single releases around the globe.

Up until now she has performed around the globe in countries such as Mexico (Zelebra Festival/ PsyCircus), India (Freedom Blast), Costa Rica, Portugal (Boom Festival 2018), Croatia (Modem Festival), Budapest (Inner Sanctum), Italy (Human Evolution Festival, Blackmoon Festival, Taurus Connection), Romania (Transylvania Calling), Germany (Psychedelic Circus), Czech Republic (Masters Of Puppets), Greece, Cyprus, Spain (Own Spirit/ KaliMela), Turkey, United Arab Emirates, France, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Israel, Finland, Brasil, Australia (Origins Of Entropy 2019), Panama (Tribal Gathering 2019) etc.
