Dieses Stück ist, wie der Titel schon erwähnt, eine Homage an die Soundtrack Klassiker auf dem Nintendo DS (Dragon Quest IX, Zelda...). Zumindest verbinde ich so eine Klangkulisse mit diesen Spielen. Vielleicht kann der ein oder andere auch ein wenig Nostalgie bei dem Stück erfahren :)

This piece is, as the title already suggests, a homage to the old Nintendo DS classics (like Dragon Quest IX, Zelda...). At least this is what I intended to create. Maybe somebody can enjoy some nostalgia while listening to this piece :)

Beim Schlafengehen is the third song in Strauss's song cycle, The Four Last Songs. Written just before his death, these songs are set to poems written by Herman Hesse, Joseph Karl Benedikt & Freiherr von Eichendorff. They are widely recognized among the most beautiful music ever written for the soprano voice. 

Vocals by Stacie Eirich, piano by Tom Jesty. Recorded in isolation in 2021, following an online masterclass lead by The Choir of the Earth & Ms. Lucy Cox.

Suprise song "out of the blue" as I struggled to record "windscreen."  I'd been so looking forward to the 2016 eclipse, I'd read a s#!t-ton of internets stuff and watched a lifetime worth of documentaries.  Planet was burning. Germinating idea was that Eb chord from the chorus of Jeff Buckley's "Grace.."💙  And I think I remember something about magnetars, supernovae and black holes.  Wormholes or something?  Time warp?  I dunno. No tellin'.  It sat and aged for a long time. Anyway. =j

I'm currently experiencing the worst bout of depression I've had in my life. Which says a lot, because I usually have some level of depression constantly. It's been going on for a while now, and I have been neglecting all forms of social media. I apologize for not listening to all your tracks. I've just been uploading, and responding to DMs... Eventually anyway. My writing has changed a lot too. My tracks don't sound like they came from hell anymore lol. Hopefully this will be resolved sooner rather than later. Until then I'll just keep dumping my crap here for the few people who still are around.
