"I haven't recorded a mix in the studio for ages, so it was nice to spend a bit of time putting together some tracks and getting involved with the blends. I've been doing a lot of deep house digging recently, so there's a fair bit of old stuff on here, as well as some newer bits and the two tracks from my new LNOE release. I just want to say a few words in the beginning. I hope you will find the time to read it.

This project was in my mind in a last few months when I decided, encouraged by a special person, to restart my passion for mixing after a break of 11 years.

I chose to named it "Insights" because it best reflects what I try to do with my mixes, which is to explore and go deeper into the listener's mind and take them on an inner journey.

First episode is a special one for me. It is a live recording from Hare Garden an event by Balance of Opposites with Stereo Underground, Oscar and Eleez. I was the first dj opening a special night for me. It was a great party which last till morning. I want to say thank you again to Oscar and Eleez for inviting me.

In the end I have a little advice. Try to find 2 hours when you are free and listen the all mix. Please let me know in a comment or a private mesage how it was the experience.

Insertion - SoundWaves 057 (19.07.2010)

Insertion (aka Silviu Gabriel Petean) knows daylight in May 1986.
Born and raised in Bucharest, he will become one of the most enthusiastic supporters of trance movement in Romania.

By the end of 2008, he made his debut at Cocoloco Music Club mixing for the first time in front of 200 trance-addicts.
Between 2009 and 2010, he had a lot of gigs, mixing in many romanian clubs: Silver Club, Suburbia, Stamba, Apasu, Club Flow, Soviet Club.

2010 brings more opportunities for Insertion to exercise his mixing skills. House Parade Timisoara / Hard Force Stage (July 31th) and Trance Vibrations 5th Edition @ Anpora Music Arena in Timisoara (September 10th) were the most important events for him.

In 2011 Insertion performed live in warm-up for Claudia Cazacu and Ferry Tayle.

Nowadays his style is a smooth blend of deep, tech and progressive grooves filled with heavy techno gems.

Between 2009 and 2012 he was the host of a monthly radioshow called SoundWaves on TranceNet Radio (www.trancenet.ro).
