I approached this mix with the goal of showcasing the many disparate influences I draw from daily musically, regardless of genre, BPM, or any other arbitrary categorization. The end result was a set of songs stretching from J-Pop to roots Dubstep, Happy Hardcore to Future Garage, from pop to underground. Most of the songs selected for this mix are bound heavily in human vocals, from the ethereal to the upbeat, from classic popular structure songwriting to the rapid chop of vocal sampling. Humanizing electronic music has often largely fell on the inclusion of the all-too-human voice, and I attempted to focus on this idea throughout the storyline of the mix. I hope listeners will enjoy.
