Tyler Nelson is Inside Wire Sound Producer at Limon Correctional Facility and the host of Sonic Sundays. He’s a 33-year-old Colorado native with a background in DJing, music production, and audio engineering. Born in Grand Junction and raised in Colorado Springs, Tyler lived in Denver for the decade preceding his incarceration. He is looking forward to getting home, and he’s planning to open a barbershop and continue to pursue a career as an EDM DJ and Producer.

Our programs were created by incarcerated media producers for incarcerated listeners. Inside Wire was the first radio station in the world to broadcast 24/7 from inside prisons to the public. Inside Wire was a program of the University of Denver Prison Arts Initiative, in collaboration with the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC).
