Huhu ihr Lieben!
Wir melden uns wieder, denn es gibt ein neues musikalisches Goodie zum genießen, schweben, tanzen und feiern! Für den Dezember hat uns nämlich die liebe @madmoiselle_myrna einen wunderbaren Einblick in ihre Sammlung gegeben - und nimmt uns alle mit auf eine Rundfahrt!

Einige kennen sie vielleicht schon durch ihre schönen Recordings von Festivals oder etlichen Podcasts, oder auch durch ihre Mitarbeit im Woodlands. Collective! Und wer noch nichts von ihr gehört hat, sollte dringend mal ihre Seite besuchen und ein bisschen herumstöbern und reinhören! :)

The Spacecast #11 comes from a rising artist named @LiliHauser. She is a young promoter, DJ and visual artist from the forests around Poznań.

She answered a few questions for us:

1. How did your artist name come about?

It is actually my name and surname :) I think it sounds great and since I am jumping around House music then it was meant to be that I keep Lili Hauser as my artist name as well :)

2. Since when have you been DJing?

I started DJing in the beggining of 2021 

3. Favorite club?

It’s hard to choose. So far I have to say both Sisyphos and Kater Blau equally ☺️

4. Favorite time?

I love playing during the sunset. It’s great moving between sunset and night time and adjusting the mood accordingly. 

5. Favorite color?

I love shades of green, turquoise and earthly colors 

6. Favorite food?

Sushi

7. Favorite planet?

Earth

8. Best experience while DJing?

All my best experiences were centered around jamming live together with musicians. I’ve had an unforgettable  experience at Totem Festival where I got to play with two drummers as well as with the amazing singer Phao Sanato and ESSEX who added some flute sounds. 

Worst experience while DJing?

Didn’t really have many bad experiences. One time I arrived at the venue and found the DJ booth completely unprepared. Cables lying around, DJ equipment and speakers not connected. The staff didn’t know how to connect it and the sound guy was not on place. I decided to connect and prepare the equipment myself. The hospitality was also not great at the place. I appreciate when clubs provide a great and professional  atmosphere. When I organize events I put a strong emphasis on these aspects. It is important for me for the artist to feel great.

Flowing toward the Balkans, distortion thickens; metallic drones churn like turbulent waters. At the Black Sea, the sound expands into wide, decaying resonance — history dissolving into electric sediment.

Pierce - Rendezvous [PRC004]

I'm sure many of you wonder where I got this idea for a mix series. LOST. Outer Space...The Ballet...in Kyoto. So many places I've gotten LOST in. Truth be told, in my journey to discover this new musical passion, I was struggling to find my identity, as most artists tend to do. I dove down the rabbit hole that was soundcloud, mix after mix, track after track, I started finding inspiration from all sorts of artists.

One artist in particular had quite an impact. It all started with those gosh darn Juicy Spring Peaches ;) This mix of his was the first I found, and I spent HOURS listening to it. "what is this tune?!, id please?!, bomb track! gah!!!" are some of the replies you can find on that mix from me, no doubt. This mix was instrumental in inspiring me to do my own mix series. Slowly but surely, I started putting these LOST mixes out, mainly just by myself, a way to release some creative energy. As it continued to gain popularity, I started getting messages from like-minded artists, wanting to share their LOST stories.

And then, full circle, much like life itself, Mr. Filip and his Juicy Peaches came forth from whatever land this traveling spiritual nomad was in, ready to guide all us LOST dancers into his soul.

Today I am EXTRA happy, as I get to present his wonderful LOST mix :)

"On a day to day basis I am involved with music, whether it is listening to music, getting the newest releases, making soundscapes, meditation music or producing tracks, music is completely ingrained into my life. The music I download for my DJ sets or guestmixes, I organize in different playlists. When I know I will be making a guestmix for some channel, I create a playlist and start moving tracks in there which I feel will fit the mood that I have in mind for the mix I am going to make. I always keep in mind what the channel is about, so that its vision as well as my idea come together at a point that I will find suitable for a guestmix. Since I play a broad variety of electronic music, there are many paths I can take. For podcasts I like to include tunes that I would not always play in the club, but that I really do like and feel they are fitting for listening in a home environment, whether it is on headphones, or speakers at home. It also gives me the opportunity to play a broader variety of tunes. For the episode of LOST I decided to go with a 'mid tempo' (between what I call downtempo and uptempo) mix, filled with a variety of emotional tunes. As my emotions are quite dynamic, this can be often seen in my music as well, from melancholic to happy, I love to put in the emotions I feel on that moment. I used to overthink my mixes when I was getting started as a dj, but nowadays I go with the flow of what my energy brings at that moment. In the weeks before, I have already started creating a playlist to choose from, so on the moment of crafting my mix, my imprint is already there." -Filip
