Solid Steel in association with Serato (18th September) In Hour 2 we hand over to Onga from the Boring Machines record label out of Italy to showcase some of the music that he single handedly packages and releases.
 The label states that 'There isn't a particular genre Boring Machines is interested in, but a feeling: a general taste for discomfort and anger, long meditations and psychedelic state is what Boring Machines cares of.' 
We get a taste of this along with music from fellow countryman Piero Umiliani, Squadra Omega and Alessandro Alessandroni. Onga told us;
"For many years Italy has not been very relevant to music production worldwide. There was a time though, when the inventions of people like Ennio Morricone and other italian composers were central to the international music experience. People flew to Rome to meet and work with them. 
In recent years that mix of experiments and secular traditions is permeating again a community of musicians, someone calls it "Italian Occult Psychedelia" who are taking the sixties/seventies lesson and updating it to the modern times. "
