After triumphantly winning Mixmag's Label of the Decade poll with his beloved Dirtybird clan, there's no denying the adoration for Claude VonStroke. It might be hard to believe that it's been two years since we received an original production from the maestro, but thankfully, the drought has finally come to an end with his brand new collaborative EP called 'Works Well With Others'. The first to arrive is his work with Will Clarke - a bearded and beloved rising star of the eclectic label - on a track called 'Tiny Tambourine'. Although the title says 'Tiny', there's no denying the bumping power of this brand new, classically thumping VonStroke tune.

For 15 years I’ve been releasing two track EPs with a crazy A-side and a much deeper or weirder B-side. Showing a range of sound has always been very important to me. My friend, Wyatt Marshall, collaborated with me on the B-side and also gets credit for turning me on to modular synthesis which is used considerably on both tracks.

He has the enthusiasm and energy of an eager young artist, but with one glance at his 20+ year discography and globe-trotting DJ gigs, it’s easy to quickly see what a storied career he’s had.

We’ve brought Gene out to play our Dirtybird BBQs and Campouts and he’s appeared on the label several times over the years on compilations and collabs, so as someone that stands out from the crowd as much as Gene, “Space Girl” is the perfect representation of those qualities—huge, full of energy and will light up any room.
