Insomnior - De click

Sound lives in defiance of the vocabulary. And Senere represents this: case in point. Otherworldly textures abound and are somehow felt viscerally through the ephemeral medium: the aether of sound’s unutterable flow is grasped like a handful of sand. It is the greatest of escapes, yet it is one of containment. 

Senere’s aim is to let this paradox come into its own and claim its divine right: sharp, yet melting textures are paraded by, sometimes in conflict with heavily lighthearted drumming - and so it is all enchanted by the cursed chant of sublime melody. And yet again, back up again: it is all sucked up into the blind hole of nothingness only to be spat out once more. As the ancient old bard did say: ‘If music be the food of love, play on!’. And play on our souls indeed did! So, dig in, dig up the dead and bury yourself… whatever beats up your heart: this mix will mend it. For in music we hear the whispers of our loved ones;

Project “Insomnior” is a collaborative venture between Hei and Ray, serving as a creative exploration where controlled randomness meets generative soundscapes deeply inspired by the themes of insomnia, intertwined with a psychedelic edge. Their sound design delves into an atmospheric world filled with shadowy undertones and a sense of mounting pressure, conjuring an auditory journey that feels at once immersive and otherworldly. 

The result is an entrancing fusion—hypnotic in its delivery—merging ambient textures, layered delays, and rhythmical intricacies. Each composition weaves together contrasting yet harmonious elements, ranging from sparse, metallic resonances to richly organic acoustic tones, carefully crafted to evoke a boundless, void-like sonic landscape.
