Hailing from Paris, Armand AKA Ourman has been experimenting with music from a young age. During his teen years he mostly messed around with his guitar playing all genres from reggae to metal. It was only until 2010 Armand discovered Dubstep when stumbling across Capsa & Rusko, which showed him how vast the the underground sound was and instantly picked up a copy of Reason to learn the basics. Unfortunately Armand had to take a step back from his productions, whilst he finished this degree. Last year, Armand decided to quit his job and dedicate this time and efforts towards music!

Cutting through the sweltering heat, Austrian bass music imprint Sub Audio proudly presents their newest, promising addition to the label family - someone, who’s currently soaring through the Dubstep landscape. Based in France, the gifted newcomer and prolific producer Ourman is rapidly rising through the ranks. Receiving vital support from the scene through the likes of The Widdler, Chad Dubz and Zygos as well as air-play on Indepth Radio, Subtle FM among others. Musically rooted in Dub, Ourman serves clean, minimal sound design on a contemporary platter.

Stirring up a ‘Commotion’, tension rises as spheric surges merge with a gargantuan low-end - at once detailing the artist’s keen sense of space and pressure. A state of constant flow, as the vivid micro-arrangement incorporates haunting foley samples and eerie, melodic hook. ‘Echo’ reverberates you into mystifying territory, instilled with a distinct sense of impending mass. A pristine dance floor shutdown, immersed in ghastly harmonies and the delightfully overdriven bass-line. 

Reeling you in with deviously playful, melodic movement, ‘Spins’ unloads swaths of sub frequencies on a tasteful interplay of distortion, atmospheric development and abundance of groove. Concluding the fulminant debut for Sub Audio’s latest digital release, ‘Rule’ takes the edge off - embedding our troubled souls into crystal-clear motion and smooth sub excursions on a dubwise soundscape.

Label stablemate Split has been busy since his last release on ADM, and we’re incredibly glad to have the German maestro back in the ADM camp for 2020. 

Demon Choirs is a crescendo of sonic tension complemented by grooving rolling basses. An ominous intro moves into a discordant breakdown with true demonic voices straight out of a psychotic nightmare. A brief reprieve is offered before Split punishes with a second round of nightmare fuel, all while keeping our heads nodding. Evil In Town’s eerie atmosphere and lush textures create an unsettling movement in stillness. The opening bars build a hostile environment before diving head first into the bass end; here the resolving sub is your only friend. Split’s masterful oscillations construct real sound system tension and an unsettling feeling you’re being watched. 

An uncompromising, no-nonsense heavyweight, Hammer It Down is one for the real bass heads.  Split’s marching kick and snare keep the momentum whilst a wave of thick sub frequencies is sure to have your eardrums rattled. They don’t come much fatter than this. Organic’s sophisticated arrangement of nu-jazzy vibes, lush spacey reverbs and warm bass tones is Split at his best. Layers of minor keys together create harmonies of tension; a running theme throughout this release.
