Ahead of the Sub Drifter's Unclassified EP later this month we have secured two digital tracks from the man himself that will be available for FREE. ‘Seismic Wave’ which will be part of our INSTiFREE series to guide exposure towards this debut EP and the second will be hosted by our good friends over at FatKidOnFire who will be announcing the track ‘Turning Point’ in the next week or two.

The Norwegian Producer/DJ/Turntablist approached music at a young age, messing around with an old AKAI Sampler constructing straight forward Hip-Hop & Trip Hop beats. Later, developing his taste in music the producer experienced the sounds of Drum & Bass and Breakbeat, beginning to experiment with these genres in his productions. Only a few years after did he find himself listening to slower tempo music which lead him to Dubstep and he has been producing it consistently for the last few years.

With only Free Downloads under his belt on various blogs and websites such as FKOF (Fatkidonfire), Prolific and Keep Deep, to name but a few, this debut EP from Kenneth Ankjell (Sub Drifter) really pushes the boundaries of his music career so far and stands to be the helping hand up into the big leagues of the 140bpm community.

The ‘Unclassifed EP’ is some seriously smooth tear-out material from the Norwegian beat-smith. Showing us exactly how far he's progressed in his sound sculpting and midrange synthesis capabilities since we first came across him over a year ago. This progression is the main reason why we signed ‘Sub Drifter’ immediately, ever growing his experience and knowledge in music production. Hard hitting snares and punchy kicks lay down a steady beat forming the foundation for these unrelenting, high octane productions. Sub Drifter succeeds in melding together the different sections of the tracks to form this well arranged slice of bass artillery 140bpm music.

Each pore on the face, gasping for air through a moor of perspiration. Skin suffocating, lungs heave and ho, entombed hands unbreaking, shoveling more coal into the fuming furnace. Sweat-logged hair keeps pacing over the collarbones, as to finally strangle that last rattle of breath. Heart rate is controlled, commanded and moved by bass and drum. Body’s rhythm and vibration has been challenged, natural existence no longer exists. Struggling for control, but losing a fixed game. Must escape this darkness.
 
A flicker of lightning in the distance followed by a paralyzing crack, reverb ringing out. Darkness slowly falls away as a sterile light emerges from the lightning dregs. Like a bad dream, stepping towards the light only to have it another step away.  Must embrace this darkness.
 
Kwizma gives Sub Pressure another masterful and hypnotic EP that borders on the edge of what is considered deep bass music,  encapsulating the mind’s eye with dark and dubious sounds, while keeping the dance floor moving with an aggressive pace.

Three years after his debut on the label, Wreckage kept the deep tribal meditative vibrations from his first album 'Navigate The Mind' and delivered five unique pieces but with one thing in common. The flow remains passive progressive while juggling between murky atmospheric conditions and enhanced radiant uplifters.

ISR profound veterans Dark Entity, L Nix, and VATIK took part in this journey by dropping rooted and brutal remixes. The momentum carried throughout the album intensifies through time beyond one's control. It settles then explodes until 'Over Oceans' naturally sends it off. Wreckage - Hypnotic (L Nix Remix)

Veteran producer Leon Switch comes to Sub Pressure with a 4-track EP that plays with the boundary of what can be considered "Deep Dubstep."  Perhaps these tunes are too aggressive to fall into the category of the dungeon, dark, Deep Dubstep sound.  Yet, too controlled and refined to be lumped into the crate with Dirty Dubstep.  These tracks find themselves in a space all their own, moody but moving.
