It was Friday Night, during the middle of my set at DISTRIKT, that the strongest sand storm of the year joins our party. An end-of-the-world scenery takes place on the dance floor, something straight out of a movie. As if a war was taking place. Dancing warriors sticked in embracing the heavy winds as some sort of ritual. My music gets deeper and deeper. The moment turned out epic… so we wanted to share with you a piece of it. Thanks Ben Seagren, Kramer & friends… It’s an honor to bring my sounds to my family at DISTRIKT.

It was my first gig there since the pandemic started and it felt so good to be back in this very special place with my dear friend Kris Tin! Nick Muir is one of the giants of the UK dance music scene. Nick, and his long term production partner, John Digweed, have been involved with Bedrock Records since its inception. Over the years, Muir has accumulated countless original tracks and remixes, and has DJ’ed around the world. Indeed, last year he blew us away in Winnipeg, Canada with a masterful 3 hour set of melodic techno goodness.

Despite his relative fame, and his successes, Nick Muir is one of the most down-to-earth, and downright loveable people you will ever meet. His humility, wry sense of humour, and his friendly demeanour instantly won us over. We at InstitutionYWG are fortunate and honoured to call Nick our friend.
