Inspired by the winter sunrises in the city of Porto, MURK AT DAWN VA marks the beginning of a new chapter in the electronic music scene, embracing the passion for the obscure and its intrinsic beauty. 

The first release by the newly established Rapture label consists of a spatial composition from Maria Callapez that inherits the melancholy from those foggy mornings, followed by the intensity and vigor from two renowned Georgian artists, Hecate Legacy and Downwell. 

To fulfill the work from the previous producers, Alessandro Adriani presents us some of his dark hypnotic finest art, preceded by the industrial and vibrant pace of the Portuguese Dust Devices, a sonority already considered his trademark.

Chain Of Sorrow

Void+1 launches its Year-3, "CONVERGENCE," with a formidable EP by Cam Lasky, XENOMORPH: BISHOP.
The previous 5 volumes of his Xenomorph release series have been native to his own label, KWAIOTO, however, the latest installment, a release that exemplifies the cutting edge of modern electronic music, finds its home on Void+1 Recordings.
Known for his narrative-driven approach, Cam dissolves the boundaries of techno and once again demonstrates an intimidating production prowess across a variety of cinematically charged styles. "Fiorina 161" is a peak-time monster, "Synthetics" and "XX121" evoke a trailer-esque, score-like mood while "341-B Pt.2" unleashes breakbeat-mayhem.
For the closing track, we have Scalameriya on remix duty for "XX121", which he transforms into a stripped-down, ritualistic offering with his signature scare-tactic twist on the breakdown.

OPERANT returns with their third EP ‘Harnessed To Flesh’, a schismic engagement, conveying intimacy inside vast and isolating spaces, contrasting dramatic urgency with absurd playfulness, bleak melancholia with degenerate frenzy. ‘Harnessed To Flesh’ pushes for a more amorphous structure in the world of Electronic music, engaging harder rhythmic and textural elements within musical pieces that unfold as dynamic, abstract narrative, taking strong influence from the Berlin sound but regurgitating it in a way that is severely deconstructed. All these pieces convey a sense of immediacy, though the tracks are produced and the spaces and details are pronounced, there still remains a feeling of untamed naivety, a chaotic energy binds pieces that might otherwise devour themselves.

The opening track, ‘Also To The Inorganic World’ reflects the more noise oriented moments of their live show, improvised fragments, contact mic’s and metal sheets combine with soundtrack like synths that seek to bolster a sense of unreality and pervert lo-fi expectations, ‘Be A Boy’ is a slow-build punctuated by car crash impacts, with the most coherent, almost narrative driven vocal of the record, concluding with a jarring rhythmic seizure, side-A finishes with ‘Chancellory’ which a conveys a sense of drowning peacefully, warm drones are layered with choking sounds that straddle the line between disturbing and playful. The B-side sees a more direct and aggressive approach, ‘The Sacrifice Of Meaning For Power’ is a dance floor oriented storm of percussion and punishing snares, Luna’s vocals violently penetrate at moments, creating a vertiginous feeling inside the locked rhythm, ‘Dead Realities VIII’ closes the record, beginning with a gabber influenced, rhythmic groundwork that unravels into a dronescape where an already torn reality is utterly destroyed.

Harnessed To Flesh sees Operant return to the studio with Blush Response for additional mixing and production.
