GK Machine’s label ‘Invisible Inc’ strongly starts the year by delivering us a new after-party voodoo weapon, pleasantly harder from what we know them for : part of a 2 tracks digital EP (to be released on January 31rd).
‘Flicker’ is a hypnotic leftfield techno jam, that features mesmerizing eastern flutes from veteran american multi-instrumentalist Jon Keliehor. So this winter in the murkiness of the night, when you will start not to feel the tip of your fingers anymore and losing track of time, at this very moment just remember that’s the good track to play. Kame House (@kame-house-852734962) is a Cologne & Berlin-based label run by @InfusoGiallo and uomo di carne.

Their latest offering comes from Tableau Vivant (@vivanttableau), a duo consisting of Joshua Gottmanns & label boss himself Infuso Giallo. Which features excursions into New Beat and Percussive Exotica as well as Austro-Wave and Electronica . It is a playful mix of travels at the edge of stasis with a peculiar musical drawl and abrupt, danceable explosions of ecstasy.

The EP consists of 4 tracks recorded by the duo between late 2018 and early 2019. Our pick being 'Double Dreams Hands', a crunchy, atmospheric piece of music with a sweet melody break midway, that creates a truly unique track.

UK based Tecwaa background is in the early Yorkshire rave scene, which makes you understand his music on a deeper level. His tasteful turning of knobs on the Roland 303 takes you back to in time to an early morning somewhere round 1990 with a diesel generator pushed to the limit roaring somewhere in the background. But Tecwaa music is a lot more than a trip in time: the sound is modern and extremely well produced where the few but exquisite sounds hook in to each other naturally and creates a round solid groove. 
The sound varies from airy and light in ”Xentaeh” to warmer and heavier in the other track ”Ci”. What goes for the sound overall is the somewhat surprising elements in how the songs develop, both in rhythm and sound wise. Teecwa music bare traces of trance, rave, early techno and so on but you could call it ”uplifting, psychedelic leftfield electro” and this is his first release on Höga Nord Rekords.

PREMIERE #675 | Tecwaa - Xentæh [Höga Nord Rekords] 2019

The man traced his finger across the map, studying the route he'd taken over the last week. The journey had been unexpected, full of surprises and various twists and turns, good and bad. The promise of good food, shelter and company had kept him going through this solitary pilgrimage and now he was so close he could smell the home cooking and hear the lively celebrations. He approached the huge door, took a deep breath and knocked loudly. No answer. He knocked again. Still no answer. Then his eye caught a sign to the right - "No More Room" was scrawled across it. After all this time and work, he was to be refused entry, unable to reap the benefits that he truly deserved...

To mark the end of the year, Jennifer Cardini is releasing the next annual compilation on her label Correspondant; lucky number seven. Compilation 07  features a stellar cast of artists with close ties to the imprint, or its experimental sister label Dischi Autunno, including Rina, Damon Jee, Zombies In Miaimi, Julian Stetter, Concret & Cantor, Javi Redondo and Terr, as well as a host of new talented friends.

PREMIERE: Alek Lee - Tornado Wallace Said No [Correspondant]

From naught to believer in 60 seconds, Timothy Clerkin returns to Insult To Injury (the label he runs with perennially on-point platform Ransom Note) with three rave verses torn from the ultimate late night good book. ‘Psalm’ takes us back to the oldest churches; big pads, lush chords, rushes galore, it’s a true dedication to the foundations but done with 2020 vision and production.

‘Slave Too’ follows with some serious up-a-gear oomph; full-on breaks, savage detuned stabs, it’s 1992 again, it’s 2am and everyone’s invited… Including the legend that is Jas Shaw who’s been an inspiration for Clerkin for many years (the Eskimo Twins were actually formed outside a Simian gig at The Cockpit in Leeds many years ago) Flipping the rave but maintaining the pressure, Jas rolls out a juggernaut damager with full emphasis on those pounding kicks and the endless mutations in and around the groove. Heads-down, prepare to blast.

Finally we wrap up the business in the warped and woozy spirit Timothy intended. ‘Exist Between The Spaces’ is disarming, strange, trippy and unconventional. It’s the finale every epic rave requires and the message in the title can’t be faulted either.
