I have been exploring the delights of home recording electronic music for too many years now. I bought my first synth from a mate at school for £15 ( yamaha CS01 )and discovered the magic of multitrack recording with the ugly oddity that was the Amstrad studio 100 (R.I.P.). Bought a few synths since then but the alchemy of those first clumsy mulitrack recordings brings back some priceless memories....

Traumm is the work of Scott Hanley who is based in Burnley, UK, His musical interests began when he was six years-old – playing drums for his guitarist/bassist older brother – and quickly gravitating towards bass and effects.

After moving from Melbourne (hometown) to England in eighty-two, he joined a succession of early indie/prog bands, as a bassist and song writer, until getting his first computer, which changed everything!

Transitioning from a song-based mentality into a more tracks-based one was a long process, which was eased by the huge explosion in electronic music everywhere in the nineties.

He has collaborated with many musicians, over the years, but the most fruitful was with MODUL. They eventually formed Axon as an alias to release their collaboration work under. They still, however, release music under their respective solo aliases also.
