About the artist,

With five years of production experience under various aliases, Issell has explored a range of genres, but over the past year and a half, his focus has been locked onto techno. His passion for music production was sparked by 90s and early 2000s hip-hop, drawn in by the addictive beats of producers like J Dilla and Madlib. That foundation of groove and rhythm now carries into his techno productions, where he blends intricate minimalism with driving energy.

A major shift in his creative process came in 2023 when he moved to Melbourne, immersing himself in the city’s thriving underground scene. Meeting local producers and DJs—especially artists like Jerb—introduced him to fresh sounds and new perspectives, pushing his artistry further. Now, his influences range from Alarico and Isaiah to Bailey Ibbs and Kuss, inspired by their ability to do so much with so little.

Issell is now carving out his own space in the scene, recently dropping two tracks, "Out of Time" and "Impulse", that showcase the new direction of his sound. With his craft evolving rapidly, keep and eye on him as you won’t want to miss out.

About the artist, 

Melbourne-based producer LUBU has been crafting beats for nearly a decade, but it wasn’t until 2022 that he fully honed in on his club-focused sound. His first SoundCloud release, BEENLOOKING, quickly gained traction, setting the stage for his journey into the underground scene. Since then, he’s been refining his style, blending influences from across the spectrum, and expanding his reach through proper distribution. Now, with a sharpened sound and a growing catalog, he’s looking to step behind the decks and bring his music to life on the dancefloor.

Originally cutting his teeth on J Dilla-style beats and recreating Tyler, The Creator instrumentals, LUBU’s production took a turn in 2019 when he was introduced to house and techno—majorly influenced by acts like X CLUB. That inspiration runs deep in his work today, with sounds reminiscent of Sewerslvt, Baugruppe90, and Mark Broom. With a new release dropping on Spotify on March 13 and a collab EP in the works, there’s plenty more to come.

About the artist, 

Hailing from Ballarat, Phoenix James has been immersed in music for as long as he can remember. Teaching himself to DJ at 15 with a pair of DDJ-200s, he’s since carved out a name for himself, landing sets at Turbo300, Levels, and the American Hotel, along with a feature mix for LMNK UK. With a love for deep, driving grooves across house, techno, and beyond, his selections are always dynamic and unpredictable—built to keep the energy high.

Producing for the past three years, Phoenix has explored a range of sounds, from house and deep house to UKG and techno. Now, with his first hardgroove track, he’s pushed himself further than ever, delivering a release that showcases his evolving style. Taking influence from names like Chris Stussy, Olav Basoski, Kettama, and IPC, he’s constantly refining his craft, blending inspirations to create something uniquely his own. Expect plenty more where this came from with a track he’s been working on for over 6 months so you can imagine the damage that will do.

About the artist, 

FERRARO is already carving out his space in the scene at just 17. After witnessing Lucas Boston behind the decks at a mate’s 21st, he was instantly hooked—diving headfirst into the world of electronic music. Since then, he’s been soaking up the sounds at bush doofs and events, using every experience to refine his craft and push his sound forward.

FERRARO started his production journey in mid-2024, he first locked in on hardgroove but has since been expanding into a more dynamic approach, experimenting with tribal hardgroove, euphoric hard house, and trance. With his sights set on playing at some of Victoria’s biggest festivals like Pitch, Beyond the Valley, and A3, he’s putting in the work to make it happen.

At just 17, JET is already making waves, bringing a fresh energy to the scene with both his DJing and production. His journey started young—first inspired by his brother and his mates at a 21st party, where he got his first real taste of electronic music watching Lucas Boston. That early spark quickly turned into a passion, leading him to start DJing at 15 before diving into production properly in late 2024.

With influences ranging from Tommy Holohan, Lucas Boston, 6 Sense and Ned Bennet, to Sam Alfred and X-Coast, his music blends captivating synths with high-energy grooves. With dreams of playing at some of Victoria’s biggest festivals, JET is putting in the work early. This release marks his biggest track yet, but it’s only the beginning—expect to hear his name a lot more throughout 2025.
