For our second instalment of the series, we have another cool cat from Portugal @Bessonemusic. Bessone is part of the label @hmadesound which is comprised of Portuguese artists, with some very recent releases featured on Trommel and a few others.

He has supplied us with a fantastic selection of tracks including some of his own productions in this 1 Hour mix, which takes you on a journey from some snappy minimal tracks together with a great ambient journey and great tones throughout.

Sebastian Borca aka Verzila, is a local electronic music producer and promoter, the one behind the well-known eponymous YouTube channel of the same name. 

Born in Sighetu Marmatiei, the northernmost point of Romania, he developed a passion for modern electronic dance rhythms from the age of 14, exploring numerous genres and subgenres. In time, he finds various flavors of house and techno to be the ones he resonates with the most and starts dedicating more and more attention to music. 

In February 2008 he created his YouTube channel, uploading tracks he liked from various artists, including friends and emerging talents. With a focus on deep house, tech house, microhouse, minimal and techno, the initiative enjoys massive success and receives support from many directions. Steadily, the venture becomes a solid promotion platform, currently counting over 107K subscribers, 60 million views, and 5966 videos. 

A new chapter was written in May 2017 when he established Welter Records, an independent imprint aiming to offer more exposure to international and Romanian artists who find themselves at the beginning of their careers. With 200+ releases and 60+ podcasts until now. 

The second chapter was born in 2021 with the Inunct Music project label, which is a free-to-download label with the purpose of spreading music for free and helping artists expose their vision through music. Currently Inunc Music has 30+ releases. 

When it comes to mixing, he’s rarely seen behind the decks, playing only at a limited number of parties, mostly the ones organized with his friends or at Oscilatii project, the one that manages it alongside Mofescu.

Bessone and Charles Lazer are longtime friends. They spend endless hours in the studio, whether playing, digging, or producing. Together, they are the creators of the event Maratona, where long sets are the cherry on top. They are also behind Home/Made, a label showcasing the best of Portuguese talent, which has been making waves on dance floors and at festivals worldwide. Charles Lazer is also one half of the duo Lazer Mike. This set was recorded at Pitch the Beach in Aveiro, where the closing of the event was entrusted to these two.

Jakob Zed is rythm-fascinated from an early age. Some lessons on the drums teached him the feeling for groove and rhythmic for his journey. In 2009, he moved from the countryside to Hamburg, where his interest in electronic music began to grow. For many years he was also active in different genres until Minimal House and Rominimal crossed his path in 2022. The complex rhythmic and melodic structures hit directly in his heart. Jakob is a passionate vinyl collector and his focus switched to that specific style. Since early 2024, he is a member of the Incognito Music Collective, deeply loving to energize the dance floors with vinyl vibes.

His productions have received support from several names in the scene and his name has already appeared on the posters of various national parties and clubs. 2020 has been a difficult year but where he has focused all his energy on new tracks and collaborations with various artists and friends.
