PREMIERE: JNJS - Walking In Blue [SVDR]

Ibiza-based label MATE LTD returns with a third EP signed by resident of the island Jyoel. For the occasion, he’s joined by talented artists on the remix duty. Added to the record: two duos, four artists, eight hands. The duo JNJS aka Jacobo Saavedra & Jay Nortown are giving their own interpretation of the original track ‘Dreams’, featured on the A side, and the Romanian duo NFTO take the lead of the B side with their remix of ‘The Power That You Are Not Using’.

The first track of the EP, original track 'Dreams', is a groovy minimal piece, between breaks and acid influences. As airy tones subtly slip in between the light house beats, a smooth voice starts to whisper in our ears to the rhythm of the bass. Needle and Plate were standing in front of the Schiphol Airport terminal and looking around. The sun softly illuminated their faces. Plate was holding a smartphone in his hand, ready to take another selfie.

— If you're going to take a picture every time we approach some building, our phones will run out of battery before our arrival in Berlin.
— I just want to remember this moment! — Plate replied, taking another photo. — How else can you prove that you were at the airport?
— I guess a boarding pass could work too.

After having gone through security, they headed for the boarding gate.

— Imagine, in a couple of hours, I'll be standing in an iconic bar playing fresh records. It’s good that we managed to catch the flight. I was already picturing us taking the bus there.
— You remember how our last trip ended, don't you? — Needle pulled Plate’s leg. — You forgot your backpack at the bus stop, and then you chased the bus through the streets of Amsterdam like an action hero.
— I caught up with it, don't forget, — said Plate, laughing.
— By the way, before the bar, I want to stop by a tattoo artist I know. I need to freshen up an old tattoo. — Needle mentioned looking at the map of Berlin with interest.

Plate nodded, mentally selecting tracks for his set. They exchanged understanding smiles, and the plane began to gain altitude.

Summer is here which means the winter is finally over which is perfect timing for our next release ARUPA011. We introduce Argentinean musical maestro Alan Castro. Alan has been putting together his outstanding Rosistas EP for some time making the selection of tracks unique to his raw minimal musical style. Alan's lays down a four track ep with two remix's, HIS production's have a beautiful flow and distinctive groove with low subs quirky instruments and melodies that take u on a minimal journey.  We are very happy to find such an artist and are overwhelmed with the outcome of his release, keep an eye on him defiantly one to watch and look out for future releases with Alan on Arupa he is part of the Family with love.  First inline with the remix's we have London talent Brett Jacobs. Brett need no introduction with his hard work throughout the years he is a well established artist and has released on some of the biggest labels in the industry and was a honour for him to remix for Arupa. Brett's interpretation of Saca culea is perfect for getting that party going with beautiful cords, weighty kicks, warm sub and broken vocal it's a sure winner. Putting the icing on the cake we have Romanian artist Andu Simion giving us his acid vision of Rosistas and what thumper of a remix it is, breaking the barriers and bringing us back to the acid days. A perfect ending to Alan Castro's Rosistas EP.
