Harvey’s highly anticipated single starts with the title track ‘Lost’ that comprises of a catchy vocal hook and rhythmic synth stabs to set the mood. This is layered over a straight, serious beat that has lots of energy and grit to make any speaker stack shake. ‘Find My Mind’ uses a mixture of reversed and straight hats to create a funky groove that is sprinkled with hypnotic synth stabs and a mesmerising vocal. ‘Hard To See’ uses a funky sub bass in combination with some swinging drums to create a groove that will rattle the speakers and bring the house down.

Label master Markantonio is glad to bring back on MKT Rec the Italian talent Dj/Producer Hollen. Release number Forty-One is a cool pack called “Monopoly” EP, that includes two original mixes of Hollen and the remix of Alberto Ruiz & Oscar Aguilera, both very well known in Spanish Electronic scene and Oscar is also a famous DJ playing since a lot around Spain and Italy.

“Brio” Original Mix is a cool Techno big room bomb, made by a rough synth in background supporting an heavy kick and massive spacey chords.

Alberto Ruiz & Oscar Aguilera gave a special big room touch to “Brio” making a nice underground powerful version with a groovy rhythm and a deep Techno bassline.

“Monopoly” has a nice elastic groove, where bouncing beats and energetic melodies are mixed up to create a fusion of essential Techno feelings.Another strike from MKT Rec. fixing the right elements together as usual, right producers and right tracks for a proper Techno label.

Hamburg based Mathias Hatting aka Hatzler doles out a slice of heavy hitting Techno in his Another Life EP, joined by Citizen Kain & Kiko as well as Bulgarian Tech House champ Metodi Hristov.

Collider kicks in with stomping bass and a high energy lead. Instilling an overall dark and dungeon like ambiance, glitched out synth pads dominate the melody, which booms and shuffles before settling on a single rhythm.

Citizen Kain & Kiko team up on the rework, bringing some French flair into the mix. Initiating proceedings is a highly strung, pulsating bassline that buzzes along, dotted with acidical noises and dissolving hi-hats.

Title track Another Life rings in via an undulating synth line, setting in motion a highly mesmerising array of rolling elements that conjure distant, cavernous frequencies. True to its name, the overall setting of the track evokes otherworldly soundscapes as the groove seems to orbit around alien-reminiscing dubs.

On the remix, Metodi Hristov slows down the pace, but keeps up the winding getalong. Metallic synths riff off towards a highly anticipated peak point, following a wavy path streamlined with erratic, ear-piercing synth bites.

All in all, an unhinged four-tracker where the artists’ experimentation makes it great for late-night antics.

Hatzler – Another Life (Metodi Hristov Remix) [Snippet]

10th April sees heralded UK DJ/producer Max Chapman step up to release his first EP on Mar-T’s prestigious Wow! Recordings, entitled ‘Leave Off’. 

Since bursting onto the scene in 2011, Max Chapman has quickly become a globally recognised name, partly due to his track ‘Body Jack’ climbing to the #1 spot in the Beatport overall chart, and also due to his relentless touring schedule that regularly sees him awe crowds around the world with his scintillating live performances.

The EP’s title-named track, ‘Leave Off’ kicks off proceedings, boasting a steady Tech House groove, eerie Synth melodies, tribal percussive elements and high-intensity vocal samples.

‘Mia’ follows, offering up a slick Tech House workout utilising an abundance of male and female vocal samples combined with brooding synths and other urgent off-kilter pad effects to great effect.

Closing the three-track EP is ‘Set Your Body Free’, a track that once again showcases why Max has earned a reputation for high-calibre productions, with the raw, percussive-driven beat giving little rest throughout its seven-minute duration.

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell. 

The new Intec release welcomes Boris who is a Russian born and NYC based DJ whose Techno sound has been in high regard since he first appeared on Dubfires revered SCI+TEC imprint. Since that release Boris has featured on labels including Octopus, Tronic, Terminal M, Suara, Toolroom Trax, Phobiq, and his own Transmit Recordings. Having been a resident at nearly every major club in his home city of New York, including venues like Pacha, Crobar, and Roxy. Boris has also travelled the world playing headline DJ sets everywhere from Womb in Japan to Space in Ibiza. 

Underground starts with the crunch of a heavy kick drum that cuts through the rumble of the rolling bassline. Full throttle and packed with energy, the track has a dark mood and deep atmospherics. Taking its title from the twisted vocal sample, this is dancefloor focused Techno at its best. 

Go Bang is pushed forward by the offbeat stab of the lead pad that lifts the track with its explosive bursts. Textured vocals chopped into looped phrases combine with fast flowing hi-hats to create the tracks fast and furious groove. Intense and relentless, this Techno workout is perfect for peak time DJ plays. 

U Better has a raw sound packed with snare rolls and dramatic synths that are dark and sinister. Building with tension, the track focuses on a series of bass drops where each one is more gripping than the last. Thundering like a freight train, this track is guaranteed to blow the roof off in any Techno club!

Next up on Truesoul we welcome Danny Serrano & Rehmark, who debut on the label with ‘Interlurder State’. Between them the Spanish duo have already released music on Suara, Viva Music, Terminal M and Elevate; It’s quite clear that both of their careers are in the ascendant and we are delighted to showcase their music.

The release kicks off with ‘Second State’, which ramps into top gear from the start, with its groove-heavy beats and intuitive percussive components working in perfect unison. ‘Interlurder’ is more of a low-slung roller with thumping drums and is certainly geared towards the underground heads.  Both tracks highlight the pairs skillful production ability – Expect to hear these tracks a lot more this summer!

Agile Recordings welcomes a collaboration between two of the imprints favourite acts Loco & Jam and Gaston Zani. Teaming up for the first time, the guys have combined their individual styles into a peak time hybrid of fist pumping techno. Officially making their debut collaboration with this three track EP, both Loco & Jam and Gaston Zani are both successful solo acts, and their originals are joined by a fantastic remix by Uto Karem who is an iconic artist from the Italian club scene with releases on other labels ranging from Plus 8 to SCI+TEC. Loco & Jam last featured on Agile Recordings when they contributed to the labels landmark 100th release, but the Northern Irish duo have also featured on other high-profile imprints such as Tronic, Terminal M, Suara and Octopus. Gaston Zani has featured many solo EP’s on Agile Recordings adding the label to his impressive back catalogue that also includes the likes of Intec, AnalyticTrail, Set About and Phobiq. “Enter The World” opens the release with a stomping groove and seductive chord stabs, before “Absolute Chaos” tears the roof off with it’s thundering kick drum and ominous atmosphere. Closing the release is Uto Karem’s rework of “Enter The World” which transforms the track with powerful euphoria and added intensity.
