The South African phenomenon Black Coffee has become well known in recent years due to his impeccable blend of house, infused with African culture and vibes. In 2012, ‘Buya’ was released featuring the stunning vocalist Yoshi.  The track went platinum in Africa in 2 months, bringing Black Coffee into the international spotlight. Now, Get Physical has taken the reigns and handed the track over to Loco Dice, M.A.N.D.Y. and Da Cappo for their remix wizardry.  

Loco Dice who has African roots spends his proceeds of the EP for the development of the new website, and the donation campaign for the Kliptown Youth Centre in Soweto, South Africa, a non-profit project that provides hope through tutoring, athletic, music and arts programs.  The returns will go to helping the heroes of the Kliptown Youth Center in Soweto, South Africa, giving kids a chance to create and express themselves whereas they might not have had that chance before. The youth is our future, and right now they need our help and support.

On 11th November 2016 prestigious imprint Intec Digital is set to release its latest compilation album, ‘Pure Intec 3’, mixed by label co-heads Carl Cox and Jon Rundell.

This essential 2xCD and digital release follows on from the previous two ‘Pure Intec’ compilations released in 2004 and 2014 respectively, and features some of the label’s biggest names including: Misstress Barbara, Josh Wink, Nicole Moudaber, Danny Serrano, Carlo Lio, Harvey McKay, Cristian Varela as well as Carl Cox and Jon Rundell amongst others.

Saeed Younan’s funk-laced classic, ‘Drop It’, kicks off the release, as Carl Cox seamlessly blends the track into Misstress Barbara’s seductive Techno number, ‘Don’t Tease Me’. Other highlights from CD 1 include Jon Rundell’s driving track, ‘Utopia’, prestigious DJ/producer Sidney Charles’ ‘Justice’, Nicole Moudaber’s pounding Techno groover, ‘One Day Later’ and Carl Cox’s Barbadian-influenced hit, ‘Your Light Shines On’.

The second instalment, mixed by Jon Rundell, features Spanish artist Dosem’s ‘The Path’, Danny Serrano’s ‘Paragraphy’, Joseph Capriati’s killer remix of Carl Cox’s ‘Kommen Zusammen’, prestigious DJ/producer Cristian Varela’s ‘Alarm Waves’ and Jon Rundell’s illustrious TR-909-laden remix of Josh Wink’s massive hit, ‘Talking To You’ are a few of the highlights from this stellar selection of Intec’s finest offerings.

Overall, it’s a release that perfectly highlights why Intec has earned its status in the industry, showcasing some of the finest dance releases over the past years in two succinct mixes.

It’s almost as if Techno is in Mark Reeve’s DNA. With the electronic pulses flowing through through his veins as the draw of the Techno Fatherland led Mark to settle in Germany, where he has since established his reputation on labels such as Cocoon, Drumcode, Bedrock, Soma and Trapez. A list that reads like the upper echelons of electronic music.

The natural extension of this journey was to start a label, called SubVision. SubVision has been quietly growing and maturing in approach, to reach this point - the launch of 'SubVision Various'. A forward thinking selection of all new cutting edge music where the SubVision roster grows to break new artists alongside established names at the top of their game. This diverse LP gives listeners and DJs a wide scope of options, as well as presenting an exciting snapshot of how the SubVision musical philosophy intends to grow.

Manchester-based duo, OC & Verde, were two of last year’s best upcoming British producers, generating genre-wide acclaim through notable releases like ‘Maasai’ – released on Knee Deep In Sound. Ben O’Connor and Jon Verde are back with this groovy 2-piece EP in Solstice/Horizon, released on VIVa MUSiC.

Manchester had quite the year in 2016, as the likes of Solardo, Kaluki Music and The Warehouse Project stimulated it’s raving scene, like three decades previous. OC & Verde are one of many rising artists deriving from the city, and the pair regularly played at the infamous soap factory, Sankeys, prior to its unforeseen closure.

‘Maasai’ catapulted the pair to unforeseen sights following the endorsement of Pete Tong who named the track his Essential New Tune. However, other notable productions can be found on Suara’s Kitties Wanna Dance (Volume 7) in ‘Vertigo’ plus remixes released on Bedrock Records, Selador and Glasgow Underground.

The future is bright for these two talented producers having gained support from Hot Since 82, Coyu, Richy Ahmed, Denney and Solstice/Horizon is the perfect start to another promising year for OC & Verde.

Carl Cox is an iconic figurehead of the electronic music industry, whose influential legacy includes his much famed label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell.

The new Intec release is from D-Unity and Matt Sassari who made their label debut in 2016 with a top selling EP titled “Fire Up” and now it’s time for a much anticipated follow up.

Canadian artist D-Unity has previously released on a wide selection of labels ranging from Toolroom and Suara to Yoshitoshi and Armada. Often at the top of sales charts, his party starting Techno anthems are regularly supported by everyone from Eric Prydz to Danny Tenaglia.

French man Matt Sassari is also a high calibre artist whose music has featured on labels including Tronic, Bitten and UMEK’s 1605 amongst many others. He is also a popular DJ regularly flying between continents to play international gigs.

Both D-Unity and Matt Sassari are solo artists, but when they come together and collaborate their combined output is stuff of legend.

The first track titled “I Like It” has a thick foundation laid by the tracks pounding kick drum. Powerful vocals infuse the track with energy, pulsating pads provide enthralling tension, and bass stabs provide the final touch to this high octane slice of hands in the air Techno.

Track two “All I Want Is” follows the same formula as the first, but with a Hip Hop influenced vocal sample it has more of a party vibe. With a slight tribal influence from the rolling percussion this dancefloor focused track
is a prefect party starter.
