Back at headquarters, our Yellowhead leaders are about to get attacked by a swarm of &#8216;Symbiosis&#8217;, just 
when the ever-prolific Sasha Carassi and the infamous duo Industrialyser and The Advent land their ships 
down, bringing along their own secret weapon of choice! The battle begins with our captains charging 
forth, unleashing a rocksteady rhythm section which acts as a sonic building block, while the disharmonic 
synths and the bubbling bass, provide the right amount of momentum! Sasha is up next, employing 
distorted drum elements, together with apocalyptic electronics and cavernous washes, creating havoc in 
their path! The duo picks up from there and kicks things up a notch with more filtered goodness and a 
skipping drumset, while tasty synths and impeccable programming make for a precise, calculated attack!

Having already graced the label this past summer with their Cosmic Techno stunner "The Ark" - UK duo Spektre return to the Kraftek family with a blistering 2 tracker that requires little in the way of an introduction. Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave imprint has undoubtedly laid down seriously solid foundations. Now well into double figure, the label’s catalogue is forming into a formidable body of work with Alan’s anthemic ‘We Do What We Want’ backed up with a string of club bangers from Gary Beck, Reset Robot and Boxia, plus Fitzpatrick’s mammoth ‘El Jefe’ collaboration with Sasha, which closed out the labels 2017 release schedule in grand style.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Fitzpatrick is back in the driving seat and raring to go again. “I feel a real strong energy right now around the label and I am massively focused on pushing on from the really great start We Are The Brave has enjoyed”, he enthuses. To be fair it is not hard to see why with landmark occasions such as the highly anticipated (and totally sold out) 5000 capacity Alan Fitzpatrick’s Day Festival happening in Dublin on 17th March. After all, who can argue with that most over-used of clichés - fortune favours the Brave!

Of course, Alan’s first release of the year is a mega one. “These tracks have all been born in a different time and space, ranging all the way back in 2015 through to the end of last year. But I think together they fit well, which goes to show that like everything really, but certainly anything creative, it doesn’t make sense to rush things” says Alan

Lead track ‘Colour Of A Dream’ comes with cleverly crafted percussion and energetic claps alongside a dominant vocal, making the track instantly recognizable in the depths of any dancefloor. “I found myself looking back through old hard drives and I guess I found a lot of fresh inspiration from rediscovering music. It feels good to know an idea that has been lay dormant can all of a sudden become relevant, given the right time and space” adds Alan.

Next up, surging with fierce authority is ‘Joy Rider’ with its trademark thumping Fitzpatrick kick drum. A ravey synthetic hook line creates a gritty warehouse vibe, which is in complete contrast to the melodic, end-of-night-euphoria experience that is ‘Together Until The End’ - a truly musical work that oozes texture and emotion.

In September of 2017 the progressive house underground lost one of its brightest talents and most pleasant personalities in Luis Kiverling. The Argentinean artist and Varona label boss had a passion for music that touched everyone who came to know him. Although the majority of Luis’ unreleased tracks and remixes have been given away since his passing, Balkan Connection has chosen to honour one of his last wishes and the assemble the remixer team of his dreams for his final single ‘Dia de Mariscal’.

Luis’ infectious personality always seemed to resonant through his music and this is certainly the case with ‘Dia de Mariscal’. Bursting with positive vibes it springs to life with a deep rolling groove and playful electronics. Emotive harmonics run through the piece, conjuring up visions of a summery, care free day before eventually stripping down into its second act. The dreamy, one minute interlude keeps the rhythm locked while dulcet hooks add their own charm before a quiet calm foreshadows a heavenly finale. No doubt one of many tracks Luis will be remembered for and one the progressive community will hold close to its heart.

Luis’ love for pure, timeless progressive house is evidenced by his remixer selection of Andrea Cassino, Matias Chilano, East Cafe, Ewan Rill and Lucas Rossi. Each artist has presented some of their best ever work in honouring Luis’ life and transcendent spirit.

Intec regular Fabio Neural is back on the label with an EP he has made in collaboration with Konrad (Italy) and Frankyeffe who has each collaborated on a separate track. Fabio has featured on eight other Intec releases and is one of the label's most consistent artists, but his music has also been a feature of many other highly respected labels including OFF Recordings, KD Music, Ovum Recordings and Truesoul. 

All of the producers on this release have roots in Italy, and Fabio Neural is the glue that binds this EP, but each of the collaborating artists is also a solo artist in their own right. Konrad (Italy) has previously worked with Fabio Neural when they joined forces for an EP on Misfit Music, but he has also put out solo releases on labels such as Octopus, Phobiq and Unrilis. Frankyeffe along with many solo tracks on many high profile labels, is also a regular collaborator with many other artists such as Loco & Jam, Mauro Picotto, Hollen and Enrico Sangiuliano. This is the first time he has worked on music with Fabio, but with a combined output this impressive we hope to hear more from the pair. 

First on the EP is Black Jack made by Fabio Neural & Konrad (Italy) and its got a distinct sound with an unusual blend of textures. Burbling melodies, spinning FX and rubbery synths combined with vocal stabs and hard hitting percussion give this release an atmospheric sound that still delivers everything you need to rock a dance floor. 

Track two by Fabio Neural & Frankyeffe titled "B&S" is deeper than the first with dusty vocals and old school flavour. Slow building, the track unfolds with a held sense of suspense and a captivating mystique. Whether its the perfect building track in a techno set or perhaps even something to lift a house set to the next level, either way, this is a classy cut of the finest deep techno.
