‘(g)round 7’ is brought together with rolling basslines weaved under steppy drumwork and percussion. Subtle atmospherics also sit in the back of the track, bringing an unsettling feeling – a feeling that isn’t resolved, and doesn’t leave you until the track is done.

Markantonio is an artist who has been instrumental in helping develop the techno scene in his home country of Italy, and this year celebrates his twentieth anniversary of releasing music.

In his career, Markantonio has released on many great labels ranging from Drumcode to his own AnalyticTrail. Along with his many solo releases, he's also been a regular collaborator with Lerio Corrado, and together they have released tracks on Tronic, Second State and now Intec.

Lerio Corrado also based in Italy is a young producer who originally made contact with Markantonio after signing some of his music to AnalyticTrail, and he also boasts an impressive back catalogue of solo tracks on imprints including Loose Records, Little Helpers and Unrilis.

Conventional Dreams opens the release with rippling synths and heavy percussion that are soon joined by razor-sharp hi-hats that slice through the offbeat. The intensity builds as this techno tidal wave unfolds with muffled vocals and haunting atmospherics that engulf the listener.

Next up is A Life and its arpeggiated lead synth with euphoric energy that blends with thrashing ride cymbals and a rolling bassline. Uplifting whilst also having a menacing undertone, this enthralling cut is has a precision engineered design perfect for peak time plays.

Last but not least is Assault that starts with an extended intro that slowly unfolds into a looped melody hook encased in a percussive framework. The hypnotising groove builds to a crescendo in the main breakdown before unleashing a surge of energy when the drums come crashing back in.

Time to break new soil again with two new faces on the label, who delivered a perfect peak time EP! The Reason Y teamed up with Patrick Milaa and they came up with three tracks for their debut EP ’25 East’. Not only Patrick and Frederik aka The Reason Y met at Watergate Berlin, also Gregor met Frederik there some years ago, ending up closing the main floor with a b2b-set that might still resonate in the minds of some of the people who attended that special night! A release on BNS was quite inevitable and we say welcome to Frederik and Patrick! For the remix we have a very very special guest! Gregor has been a fan of Cari Lekebusch's productions for almost thirty years, so we are over the moon to announce Cari decided to go on remix duties for this project! It is a very special honour to have him on board, delivering one of his signature big-room-not-big-room tracks with one of those unresistable grooves everybody knows and loves him for! Markantonios label AnalyticTrail is back with a new mixed artist EP featuring the label owner himself alongside others who have previously featured on the imprint such as Luis Miranda, Dok&Martin, Angioma and Hanubis.

Expression is a series that showcases emerging talent that are set for big things in the near future with many of the artists having already featured on other influential labels such as Kraftek, Odd Recordings, Terminal M, Codex Recordings, Set About and Tronic.

The sixth edition of the series gives further exposure to each of the artists who are all destined for big things in the future months, and Markantonio adds his own music to show support for their talents that are already parallel with some of technos most established veterans.

Opening with the powerful synth line of "Fearless" by Markantonio, the compilation transcends the full spectrum of techno incorporating acid, industrial and twisted euphoria. Dark and compelling, each of these exceptional tracks are perfect for peak time DJ sets.

Filterheadz are back on Markantonio’s label AnalyticTrail with a new EP made in collaboration with Lowerzone.

This is the Filterheadz second EP on AnalyticTrail following their 2018 release made in collaboration with Gaston Zani, and they have also featured on other labels including Tronic, We Are The Brave, 1605 and Intec.

Italian based Lowerzone joins forces with the Filterheadz for his second collaborative release, having previously worked with them on an EP for D-Unity’s label Unity Records. Lowerzone has also released solo tracks on the likes of Suara, Respekt, Bitten and JAM.
