We’re proud to welcome Amoss back to Dispatch this October, as they deliver their much anticipated 2nd EP with four brand new tracks, entitled the ‘Shadow Theories EP’.  

Displaying the full spectrum of the duo’s sound, the EP also includes their next collaboration with Dutch producer Fre4knc, as well as additional features from Viv May and C.Tivey.

Whether it’s a speaker pulsator for the clubs or a subtly tech-tinged groove, Amoss have an inherent ability to master any vibe they turn to, seemingly effortlessly; delivering music that is aesthetically pleasing to fellow producers, without losing its wider dancefloor appeal. 

Old skool breaks, unpredictable percussive switches and an unmistakably infectious hook make up lead track ‘The Wayman Break’, followed by the neck churning ‘Vortice’ with Fre4knc, held by a ruthlessly tight drum pattern, a track displaying pure precision and attention to detail. 

Moving smoothly into ‘Stalling Theme’, the EP takes a more harmonic, tranquil direction, accompanied by a blissful blend of Viv May’s vocals and C.Tivey on the keys, before things take a darker turn on the technical stomper ‘Crooked Arm’, as Amoss close off proceedings.

SCAR and Artificial Intelligence have been friends for a very long time but its only now that they have begun to work together in the studio and the results have been massive so far. Letting It Go is a great example of how well the four work, a mixture of soul flourishes and screwface mid range riding over a massive sub bass and 2 step drum roll out. A true DJ at heart, Dutch DJ/producer Fre4knc (pronounced "frequency") is seeing a rapid surge in popularity in 2013 after many years of solid devotion to promoting, DJing and producing DnB. His production name has become synonymous with raw, deep and techy drum & bass for the dancefloor. He has also built a reputation for quality DJing at his own Break-Fast events in Groningen (NL), his radioshow on jungletrain.net from 2002 till 2012, and as the label boss of Break-Fast Audio and his residency for the mighty SOLK nights. Now in 2013 he is pushing his sound further with a performance on ESNS 2013 and releases set for Samurai Music, Noisia's Invisible and Dispatch Recordings.

Bio:
Around 2016 Drum’n’Bass addicted Soraya started to turn from theory of spinning to practice of spinning. Since ever her love for music was an essential part of her life.
In 2014 she got first time in touch with Drum’n’Bass. Her first gig with audience started at the legendary “Amens Büttel” in well-known nightclub “KIR” in Hamburg. There she recognized that spinning music is her deep passion. Mainly she started with mixing to be able to share beloved tracks with the crowd. For herself she describes her style as Deep, dark and jungle influenced Drum’n’Bass.
