Nicole has returned to Drumcode all guns blazing with her new ‘Bittersweet EP’. The A- side ‘I Know Where I’ve Been’, is a deep rolling techno machine that uses a constant building percussion loop that eventually explodes into some serious funky signature Moudaber techno! ‘Bittersweet’ is a techno belter that uses a hypnotic synth rhythm that will take the listener into another world. The repetitive claps induce a flurry of energy and excitement whilst supported by the crisp highs.

When you're talking about techno, few names have been innovating and evolving as much as Robert Hood. When he's not running things over at M-Plant, he can be found touring the festival circuit with his live show and releasing tonnes of fresh new material.

Today we concentrate on his more melodic alias and under the name Floorplan, Hood has released a stunning album showcasing a slightly different yet equally strong sound.

A new EP is set to drop featuring two re-edits of tracks that appeared on his Floorplan album 'Paradise'. 'Phobia' and 'Never Grow Old' have been given a special Re-Plant and we have the premiere of the latter.

Saline is the third installment in a series of records from Ultramajic boss Jimmy Edgar. While the first part, Hot Inside, represented the element of fire, and its follow-up release, Mercurio, symbolized water, Saline is aligned with earth. It's no accident that the name refers specifically to the earthly compound salt, as desalination is an integral metaphysical process that helps to hone the third eye.

The EP rises from the ashes of Hot Inside and Mercurio with "Burn," a blazing acid-tinged banger that boats dry drums and a strangled wail. The reference to fire in the title suggests the evolution of Edgar's series of singles, while the name of the track "Decalcify" invokes a process closely related to desalination, as both play a role in making the body more attuned to supernatural experiences. Ultramajic's Chicago house influence enticed legendary footwork producer DJ Rashad, who's voice can be heard in the sampled squawk on metallic tune "Walk Show." The final track "Who's Watchin," features Jimmy's own vocal, coy bleep-bloop instrumentation and hissing hi-hats. Taken as a whole, Saline and the other releases in Jimmy's series of dance singles are designed to instigate the processes they allude to and aid in the path of spiritual development.

After launching in fine fashion with Luke Slater wielding his L.B. Dub Corp alias against textured cuts from ASC, the second instalment of Mote-Evolver’s Parallel Series presents more forward-thinking sets this time from Shifted and Finish vanguard Samuli Kemppi.

2011 witnessed an exciting renaissance for UK techno, Shifted being one of several British acts to ascend to prominence. His Mote021 Drained and Mote024 Control EP’s, introduced and cemented the Briton’s taut production capabilities, marked by hypnotic rhythms and a rich bassy pallet.

Connected to his much anticipated debut album in April, Shifted’s tracks on the Parallel Series surge over a sunken heartbeat, but where searing hats steer “Gates” into an entrancing floor workout, “Spire” knits industrial resonances into a penetrating aural- apocalypse.

This is Samuli Kemmpi’s third outing on Mote-Evolver, having released a couplet of stand-out 12”s—Dark Matter / Wormhole and Quantum Mechanics EP—back in 2010. “Trans Neptunian” matches a tough and punchy pulse to cheeky hat hisses, laden with urgent piano stabs to deliver a perpetual piece of techno, as anxious as it is infectious. “Detached Object” on the other hand is more progressive. Here a choppy, tumultuous melody gathers momentum over a deep and rolling sub before gentle crashes carry it into a bass-heavy descent.

Bristol's Elastic Dreams presents it's third release, with label owner A Sagittariun taking a back seat on this one and introducing Sheffield based DJ/producer, Nyra, to the fold.  Hot off the heels of his EP for Never Learnt, Nyra keeps on track with three new cuts of basement techno and deep, murky dancefloor tracks.  The release is bolstered by a remix from Skudge on lead track 'Uno 10'.

After the successful Tired of Being Wrong Remix package, Bulletdodge Records fire back with another astounding package full of tech niceness! Bulletdodge welcome on board German producer Till Kruger who delivers an excellent E.P. entitled 0001A featuring remixes from Vince Watson, Greg Gow, Secret Cinema and Lee J Malcolm. First up is 0001A, which portreys clear percussion at its finest, with carefully placed dubby stabs and a nice grooving bass line to make this a dancefloor mover. We have 3 superb remixes of 0001A, firstly is Techno Stalwart Vince Watson who provides a piece nothing short of brilliance. Watson gives a melodic techno twist with sparkling pad sounds and a solid percussive arrangement creating an anthemic masterpiece. Next we have a remix from Greg Gow, which is an excellent tech house piece of craftsmanship, that conveys a more pumping rendition of the original yet still conveys a stellar production.Last up on remix duties for 0001 A is Lee J Malcolm a flavoursome piece of electronica with nice analogue sounding elements and a catchy warped synth. Next track on the E.P. is Till's Stomach Stories, a track centred around a sinister synth pattern, trippy atmospheric noises and an infectious landscape of effects. Lastly, we have producer extraodinaire Secret Cinema remixing Stomach Stories. This remix is a fine example of contemporary minimal techno, building a steady groove with a driving bass line and increasing the intensity with clever stripped back percussion and interesting fx.

The first release from Sweden's Random Island recordings offers three tracks of pure-bred techno from label owner Inter Gritty. Nihad Tule provides a stunning remix that turns the raw, Chicago-esque pounding of Kiska into a dramatic, flowing techno builder. And finally, Huemul drops the pace and sets off to explore the deeper side of techno, drenched in drones, chords and deep bass.
