Takaaki Itoh es reconocido como uno de los padres de la nueva generación de la música techno en el país del sol naciente. Desde 1994 es el responsable de los mayores eventos celebrados en el norte de Japón con el techno de raiz detroitiana como principales influencias. Las referencias de Itoh son muchas y muy variadas pero destacan por encima del resto, UR Derrick May Axis Hardfloor Harthouse, Warp y Rising High Takaaki Itoh comienza su carrera de productor en 1996, publicando para el sello británico Electracom donde coincide con Damon Vallero Inigo Kennedy y Hiroaki Iizuka obteniendo rápidamente una gran repercusión a nivel mundial. En los últimos años recorre Europa mostrando su sonido característico y único antes nunca visto en nuestro continente, con actuaciones en Alemania, Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Croacia, Eslovaquia, España –acostumbra a visitar el norte del país donde le piden caña-, Holanda, Hungría, Portugal, República Checa, Yugoslavia. Desde 2002 dirige su propio sello Wols donde ha contado con la colaboración de los españoles Óscar Mulero y Christian Wünsch para las remezclas del tema Cry Of State Desperation incluido en la segunda referencia de su sello. Por el contrario, Takaaki Itoh edita sus trabajos en Continual, Housedust, Mainout, Majesty, PVC, Sheep, Stimulus, Tsunami, Warm Up, etc…
