Biography u.r.trax:
It's kind of a no-brainer. U.R. Trax is one of those rare artists who go straight for the jugular on the first approach. A burst of energy, youth in its most innocent and furious form. A gifted 17-year-old, she sweeps away all stereotypes with her presence and talent.

After attending the music conservatory at the age of eleven, she finished her master's degree in 2019. This gifted artist has started to make her mark on the techno scene by first joining the team, organizing the Possession events and then quickly slaying the dancefloor at their parties. Spotted by the greatest DJs of the moment, she has just signed her debut EP on Hector Oaks' KAOS label and is preparing several collaborations that promise to be incredible. Our subsequent releases on Lobster Theremin, Live From Earth or her own imprint on Kaos Label looks like the 2021's blast to come.

Esteban Miranda, born in Roldanillo, Valle del Cauca, is a young artist who became interested in electronic music from an early age. Influenced by trance, minimal and house, he began his in-depth search for new sounds; little by little that love for electronic music led him to become interested in the art of being a DJ and music production.

In 2017 he started as a DJ playing at events in his area, two years later he debuted as a producer. His music has reached different labels around the world, including labels such as: B55 (MX), TRAU-MA (POR), DREIZEHN SHALLPLATTEN (ALE), AL3MOVIMENT (COL), DARKFOREST (ESP).

Throughout his 3 years as a producer he has consolidated a forceful, mental and introspective sound, which has led his music to be included in the prestigious Polegroup Radio.

He considers himself an idealist of excellence and experimentation in his music, in his sets Esteban generates a climate in which techno becomes dark and deep without neglecting the dance floor.

Influenciado por el trance, minimal y house empezó su búsqueda a profundidad de nuevos sonidos;  poco a poco ese amor por la música electrónica lo llevo a interesarse por el arte de ser DJ y la producción musical.

En 2017 inicio como Dj tocando en eventos de su zona, dos años más tarde debutó como productor. Su música ha llegado a distintos sellos de todo el mundo destacando entre ellos etiquetas como : B55 (MX) , TRAU-MA (POR) , DREIZEHN SHALLPLATTEN (ALE) , AL3MOVIMENT (COL) , DARKFOREST (ESP).

A lo largo de sus 3 años como productor a consolidado un sonido contundente , mental e introspectivo, lo cual ha llevado su música a ser incluida en la prestigiosa Polegroup Radio.

Se considera un idealista de la Excelencia y de la experimentación en su música, en sus sets Esteban genera un clima en el que el techno se vuelve oscuro y profundo sin dejar de lado la pista de baile.

Tripeo joins for DifferentSound Podcast #189.

Over the years, Tripeo has edged out an exceptional corner of the techno spectrum for himself. Brought to life as Darko Esser’s puristic alter ego, he has gradually returned to his namegiver’s eclectic roots, while also delving deeper into his musical metier. Each new Tripeo track is a clever patchwork of pulsating rhythms and minimalistic melodies – seemingly simple, yet utterly refined. Darko Esser’s devotion to electronic music spans several decades. He has built his international reputation based in two small, but tight-knit music communities in Holland. First as a talent buyer at Groningen’s Simplon, later as a booker and resident of Doornroosje in Nijmegen. Thanks in great part to his efforts, Planet Rose has become one of Europe’s longest running techno nights. Together with his labels Wolfskuil and Balans, this has cemented the town’s reputation as a remarkable techno hub, and boasted Darko’s prominence as an excellent curator. Georgia’s Tbilisi is one of the remarkable places abroad where Darko has found a deeper connection with the local crowd. The fearless determination and graceful open-mindedness of Bassiani’s techno community have been an inspiration in both his DJ sets and productions. It makes perfect sense for him to release his most diverse Tripeo album to date on the club’s esteemed label. Further exploring the crossroads between fierceness and vulnerability, ‘Green Is the New Red’ incorporates experimental escapades like electro and ambient. Relentless and emotionally charged, this is Tripeo at his most compelling.

Joton is an essential figure in the Spanish underground electronic scene, having spent over two decades dignifying his profession as a DJ and producer, crafting unconventional sounds that have inspired artists worldwide. Working out of his studio in León, Joton has developed his own style of techno, infused with a classic sensibility that has resonated with fans across the globe. As the founder of Newrhythmic Recs, Joton has supported national and international artists for over twenty years.

As a tireless and prolific creator, Joton has had his work published on prestigious labels such as Fabric, Modularz, Quartz, Odd Even, Symbolism, Planet Rhythm, Raw Raw, Dynamic Reflection, and Skryptöm. His tracks have been played by renowned artists including Ben Klock, DVS1, Rødhåd, Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, Surgeon, Truncate or Go Hiyama.

In 2015, Joton released his debut album, «Casting Out Nines,» a work that received critical acclaim and established Joton as a force to be reckoned with in the techno world. The album was presented in ten countries across three continents, cementing Joton’s status as an international DJ and producer. In 2017, Joton returned to his roots with «R3silient,» an album that explored his purest and most analog side.

In 2018, Joton continued his prolific output with two new works, «Antioquia» on German label ODD EVEN and «Extreme Measures» on RAW RAW. In addition to his DJ and production work, Joton is also a respected educator, offering interactive production courses that help aspiring producers refine their techniques and develop their sound. His latest album, «Hikikomori,» released in 2021, was born from these courses and is a collaborative work that speaks to the experience of isolation during the pandemic.

Over the years, Joton has played at some of the world’s most iconic clubs, including Tresor in Berlin, REX in Paris, Corsica Studios in London, Grelle Forelle in Vienna, Propaganda in Moscow, Domunne in Tokyo, Vault Sessions in Amsterdam, Razzmatazz and Moog in Barcelona, Gare in Porto, Infra in Boston, Drugstore in Belgrade, Under Club in Buenos Aires, Espacio 93 in Santiago, Stardust and Fabrik in Madrid and Sound Department Italy, among others. Joton’s enduring legacy as a producer and DJ has had a profound impact on the techno scene both in Spain and around the world.
