Viennese freshman Arthur Robert has eagerly carved a niche in the collective psyche of late with a handful of self-released titles and a string of hypnotic EPs on Len Faki’s Figure. These are the fruits of a studio routine outside of which he’s often found piously performing ruminant sets and passing on knowledge to a clique of eager students. Since his early 20s based in Amsterdam, the symbiotic exchange between that city and Detroit is evident in his and his peers’ work. There’s an extra twist though: a self-professed flair for trip-hop, ambient, breakbeat, drum ’n’ bass and movie soundtracks. In fact, it’s in his work’s focus on the psychedelic, groovy and atmospheric that a solid reference to many beloved sci-fi classics can be found. For Bassiani Podcast 129 he tries his hand at scoring a fiction all of his own, at once twitchy, escapist and modern.

Rill is an upcoming DJ and producer from Potsdam, Germany. He is the co-head of the Berlin based label Syntop. Undoubtedly, Rill gets his inspiration from early 2010s techno. His tracks are minimalistic, yet hard-hitting and groovy. Through the moderate but precise use of synth sounds he manages to add depth to his productions and thus creates an overall hypnotic experience.

Originally from the south of Spain, the passionate artist started her musical journey in the city of Barcelona by the age of 18.  Her fusion of trippy sounds and hypnotic techno has taken her to several DJ performances on both national and international scale, including Berghain, Tresor, Fabrik Madrid, Vault Sessions/ RADION and Bret in Amsterdam, BASIS Utrecht, Garbicz Festival, Industrial Copera, - just to name a few. Her productions have been supported by artists like Blawan, Luke Slater, Amelie Lens, Setaoc Mass, Kr!z, Matrixxman, Amotik, Keith Carnal, Richie Hawtin and several more.

Nuno Costa comenzó sus incursiones en la música electrónica en 2008 con su apodo Sinner, y con él creó Warface, un grupo y promotor local centrado en el dubstep, el drum 'n' bass y el garage británico. En 2013 puso en marcha su nuevo proyecto, VIL, centrándose principalmente en la música techno, electro, breaks y house. Su EP debut llegó a principios de 2015, cuando el sello portugués Extended Records lo eligió para un lanzamiento. Poco después, lanzó en el sello "Faut Section" de Lewis Fautzi y en el legendario sello techno Synewave New York, dirigido por Damon Wild. For our 147th FrenzyPodcast we invited the Berlin-based vinylhead, Kyly. Kyly is a lover of the 2000's tribal sound - anything with bongos, loose percussion & tribe vocals will surely fit his record bag as he believes this sound to make for the hottest dancefloors.

Being gifted a darbuka (turkish drum) & a guitar by his father sparked his interest in rhythm and percussion at an early age. Later introduced to techno music and the concept of Dj'ing by his friends, he started to gain more and more interest in techno and the culture surrounding it. It wasn't until he switched to vinyl and started discovering the sounds of 2000's legends like Chris Mccormack, Mark Williams and Mark Broom though, that his interest developed into a deep passion.

Today Kyly is obsessed with the warmth and unique charackter of early 2000's tribal / techno. It's the rhythm, the joy and the instinctiveness of that era he's truly in love with. Constantly refining his skills & his record collection, Kyly hopes to convey his joy of music to the people listening; creating a vibe that is colorful, cheerful and interactive.

‘To conclude this year, I switched it up a bit for this podcast and didn’t do a DJ set. This time I made a studio mix which compiles tracks, loops & sound bits into a mix. I always wanted to try this and see what I would come up with and ended up having a lot of fun with it. There are so many possibilities and I ended up tweaking this for way too long. Hailing from Amsterdam, DJ, producer Vromo is an emerging talent, making a name for himself with his fierce groovy sounds. Drawing inspiration from old-school Techno of the 1990s and early 2000s, Vromo’s style transcends a single genre, often infusing elements of Ghetto and House in to his sets. In 2023, Vromo became an ANTIDOTE resident, regularly performing at their events and contributing to ANTIDOTE’s 2023 VA release. Vromo has taken his sound to cities across Europe, having played in cities such as Berlin, Austria and Dublin. 

Vromo’s productions are raw, high-intensity and timeless in their sound. This driving mix has an analogue feel, with complex rhythms and dark synths.

Being inspired by the sound that was pushed in the 90s and early 00s, the young DJ & Producer Vromo tries to honor these roots in his DJ sets and productions.
