PREMIERE : Andrea Cossu - Sparse Points [ABT-EP001]


Art Bei Ton is kicking off its EP series with “Siren” from the Berlin-based Sardinian DJ and producer, Andrea Cossu. Featuring three original tracks, one collaboration with Idiolect and WTTM, and a remix by Veiga, those 5-track deliver solar vibrations through various explorations of the hypnotic soundscape.
Opening the EP with a groovy and experimental Ambient track, “Sparse Points” is an invitation to experience a radiant and pulsating sonic journey. Between the sun and the sea, the second track of this EP evokes an ethereal journey through Andrea's native island, embracing luminous pads and subtle rhythms.
With “Pressurize,” Andrea Cossu presents a driving and groovy vision of hypnotic techno, blending dynamic drums with dreamy elements. The collaborative track featuring Idiolect, Andrea Cossu, and WTTM guides the listener to a transcendental state with its loopy and trippy patterns.
Wrapping up this release, the Portuguese artist Veiga offers a deep and driving techno interpretation of “Pressurize”, embracing club-oriented sonorities.

During the Soviet era, art often had to align with propaganda, seemingly fostering a symbiotic relationship between the state and its people. Consequently, in the realm of “Social Realism,” most forms of artistic experimentation were strongly discouraged and even punishable. With few exceptions, 20th-century Georgian classical/chamber music remained quite conservative; however, when faced with dysfunctional cultural phenomena, there will always be gaps in societal walls through which oppressed cultures can carry their historical heritage and unique paradigms.


In 2018, Glonti started collecting LPs of Soviet-era Georgian composers at Tbilisi’s “Dry Bridge” flea market.The records mostly consisted of classical and chamber music released on Melodiya, the singular, state owned record label of the USSR. It was through this process that the idea of Recollection was born, as Glonti aimed to create an album that would utilize samples from his growing collection.


Recollection I-II will be the first release in a series of 7’’ records, followed by three more releases. The artwork by Dmytro Nikolaienko of Day Night reflects the generic qualities of Soviet-era cover art.

The Infra Mix Series presents Angel Attack, delivering a carefully crafted exploration of dark, textural rhythmic amalgamations for the sixteenth edition of the series. As a London & Boston-based artist and founder of House of Reptile, Angel Attack has developed a signature sound that transcends conventional boundaries, masterfully weaving between techno, electro, and industrial elements.
This mix exemplifies his bewitching style, creating an intricate tapestry of sonic elements that showcase his keen ear for layered complexity. As an Infra resident, Angel Attack demonstrates his command over dark-tinted atmospheres, building tension through industrial textures while maintaining a hypnotic dancefloor focus. Each transition reveals the depth of his technical prowess, offering listeners a journey through the shadowy intersections of electronic music's most compelling genres.

Ezequiel Almonacid is an Argentinian musician and DJ, compiling his lifetime musical background with influences from his last years in Barcelona, reinforcing a turn to a deeper side of electronic music. 

Focused on both, sound exploration and storytelling during his DJ sets, he seeks to create a dynamic and varied sonic journey, immersing the audience in organic and profound soundscapes with a blend of tribal and experimental elements. His performances evoke both, the primal and the avant-garde, taking the listener on a unique and thrilling sensory experience.

Dreams of Eternity

Established in 2017, the Intergalactic Research Institute for Sound has been an outlet for artistic and experimental endeavors that go beyond electronic music.
Evocative soundscapes from Georgia were the first communication from the Institute. It has since released music from Ukrainian artist Stanislav Tolkachev, acclaimed duo Air Liquide, or Georgian producer Michailo.
Michailo notably worked on his EP in prison, sending files to the label through intermediaries. He was released early, shortly after his record came out.
These days, it is also the home of STAUB’s unknown artists and of the cello robots that keep company with Schloss Mirabell.
With its blurring aesthetics, the Institute travels from clubs to museums and always pushes its exploration further.
