50PHIE wohnt seit kurzem in Hamburg. Davor hat sie viele Jahre die Leipziger Clubszene in Läden wir dem Institut fuer Zukunft und Conne Island als Veranstalterin, Mitarbeiterin, DJ und vor allem auch als Gast mitgeprägt. Sie ist Teil von G-Edit und war mit ihrer Crew für Party DRIVE verantwortlich. 50PHIE ist musikalisch vielseitig aufgestellt und schafft es, ihre Tasche (mit den Kulleraugen) immer mit der richtigen Auswahl aus ihrer digitalen und analogen Sammlung zu packen. Sei es auf dem Ambient Floor, mit Deutschpunk oder eben doch mit zeitlosem House und Techno.

Currently focussed on his own Seclusion label, Marseille based producer, Damien Lapéna has been releasing on established techno labels such as "Soma", "Infamous Player" or on Ben Sims imprint "Symbolism" for over a decade.   He launched his Elyas project on Modularz (LA), with ten vinyl releases that aired between 2012 and 2016. During this period he had the chance to play in prestigious European clubs such as Tresor, Berghain, Corsica Studios and Cassette Club, as well as in New York where he shared the line-up with artists such as: Function, Pfirter, Developer, Grindvik etc. He has now released over 35 vinyl EPs with different projects and collaborated with artists such as Ben Sims, Mark Broom, Jerome Sydenham, Perc.

The monthly show hosted by @katharina-davids is returning with guest @50phie50phie

At some point, Sophie just bought two broken record players and repaired them DYI style herself. Spending a lot of time at punk and hardcore concerts in her youth she’s always preferred to simply make things herself instead of just consuming. In her long-time adopted home of Leipzig, 50PHIE has also played a key role in shaping the local scene. Be it as an organizer, employee, DJ or, above all, as a raver.

She is part of G-Edit and DRIVE and has also been involved in booking the Nachtiville Festival since the last editions. 50PHIE is musically versatile and always manages to pack her bag with the right selection from her digital and analog collection. 

Since moving to Hamburg, 50PHIE has been active in the record store remoto rec extending her rather timeless than zeitgeisty collections we’re excited to listen to at THF Radio.
