I'm downright thrilled to be taking part in the Wildlight Remix Contest for Jumpsuit Records and sharing the Intermixture spin on the track "Save My Mind For Later". This contest was such a privilege to enter because it challenged each participant to be exceptionally innovative in creating an atypical remix armed only with the original track's distinctive, vibrant vocals and nothing more.  

After nearly four weeks of relentless studio time, the resulting remix took on its own groove and feeling that's sure to keep you bouncing.  Producing this track was so much fun that I plan on extending it further in the near future.

Over the last couple months I've been tediously piecing together every line of this brand new remix of one of my biggest inspirations in electronic music - Opiuo.  I'm very pleased to finally be able to share it with the world.

This mellow yet sophisticated track subtly evolves itself line after line into something new and unexpected with its psychedelic-dub beat that melts together with bits and pieces of several different Opiuo tracks from various albums, including the songs Spanner, Trout Snout, Kaya Project, and Panty Slingshot. The first year I went to Burning Man, this was the sunrise anthem. Its probably Rodman's most recognized tune, and has been played my many other DJ's and producers throughout the years, most notably being frequently played by Bassnecter. 
I've tried to balance the idea of making a full on remix, with what I felt was the need to keep the original material and feel intact, and have focused on bringing the sound quality up to current standards, and adding some personal touches that don't change the original idea of the track too much. This is how I feel he should be remembered, as a brilliant, influential producer and caring person.

So one fine day in Denver Colorado, the homie Tyro and I were driving around listening to the Bobby Shmurda station of pandora on our way to buy mate and sandwiches at Vitamin Cottage. You know, typical hoodrat gangsta shit. This amazing song by Kill The Noise from the TMNT soundtrack came on and we were like whoa, we are really high right now. So we slammed the mate and hauled ass to the Rebudz studio and furiously started working on a bootleg of this epic tune that was missing a serious drop. And this is the result......enjoy!
