Language as an artistic tool has been widely explored in conceptual and particularly in sound art for more than a century: from the phonetic poems of Dada, to Stockhausen’s experiments with text and voice, to contemporary electro-acoustic works in this day and age. 

Relations between languages and their sonic characteristics was the main focus of cadeu's Master’s degree and the result of a three-year-research and experimentation. Why do languages sounds just like they do? What does constitute a linguistic soundscape? In 2021’s ambient mix UI cadeu examined several languages in a deconstructed mode. The words were torn apart into particles that are deliberately devoid of any meaning, but still retaining the character of a language. Conceptually the approach was based on the idea of l’objet sonore introduced by P. Schaeffer, by means of which he regarded sounds as independent acoustic events, detached from their sources, deprived of the original meaning and intended for listening, charged with acousmatic experience.

LANGUAGE EP and the forthcoming album EX became my playground to explore this idea in the realm of club music. Throughout the record, language is interchangeably revealed in both deconstructed and habitual ways, letting the meaning in and leaving it out, attempting to spell a message and suddenly losing it only to become another instrument in a track.

The compilation série Jeux de Jambes returns with a 3rd episode ! 
After a first shot released in 2018, then a second one in 2019 the Jeux de Jambes serie pays tribute to Footwork. This musical genre and dance from Chicago is based on frenetic feet dance moves following frenetics kick beats hitting at 160 BPM which goes with jazz, soul, hiphop samples. 
The Volume 3 is for the first time put on stage thanks a crew of dancers. Alice, Paulina, Morgane, Fi, Treil, Nache, Snaplow, Alejo, and Yorgee 
are the guest of honor for this opus through a week long workshop residency in several spots in Paris, Montreuil and Aubervilliers. 

Based on communs gestures created for the movie freely inspired of Footwork, The crew of dancers depicts the frenzy of the city of Paris and its suburbs. With a balance of written and improvised dance moves, the crew decodes and interprets endless and hypnotics moves that are part of the city daily life. 

Captured through the camera and vision of the video collective La Panthère Rose, a video clip which features several tracks of the tape shows most of the best moments that happens during this week of workshop. 
The producers roster has never been that good before for a Jeux de Jambes compilation : Endloskosmos, Jumboclat, SNKLS, Argo, LeTo, Qant, Mayflo, Skwig, Yungccos, DJ Suzmo, Young Boozy, Gecin, DJ Funest, Information Flash, and as usual Vorace, Julio, Dlght & Peow Beow !

abers is a multidisciplinary artist, DJ, and producer from Albuquerque, based out of CDMX. They host a radio show, [antro]pología, on Threads Radio London, focused on showcasing the current sounds and trends in the club world of LatAm. They also form part of CA$$É Collective, an experimental project with a focus on global club music diaspora. Their forthcoming EP, ‘zozobra’ merges influences from wave, dubstep, and grime with organic percussion and ambient sound design.
