Productrice, DJ & artiste pluridisciplinaire basée à Marseille depuis 4 ans, Dua Lity façonne les contours d’un paysage sonore et visuel en tension entre esthétique sombre, nostalgie lascive et références pop-culture de niche.
Affiliée au collectif marseillais Métaphore, elle s’est au fil des dernières années fait un nom sur les scènes musicales électroniques européennes, de Paris à Berlin (pour le collectif Soul Feeder), aussi bien par le biais de DJ sets que d’hybridations entre installation et performance live. À l’image de son nom de scène, son identité sonore prend vie à travers l’association de sonorités contradictoires donnant naissance au chaos d’une dualité harmonieuse.

For Psychic Liberation, the Berlin based trio BRAK unfurls their debut LP, “Friction”. After a succinct but distinct array of cassette releases and European tours, BRAK produces their most concentrated sonic statement yet for the vinyl record format. BRAK's singular take on the psychedelically informed ethos of noise-rock enters the canon with dirgey power-blasts of delayed vocals, percussive angularity, and anxious spurts of scraping strings and feedback. The sonic cacophony that is conjured from the band is the underpinning of narratives with emotive tensions where glimpses into pressurized neurosis envelop “Friction”. 

Berlin serves as a fruitful backdrop for BRAK's viscous output. Pulling from punk, noise, no-wave, and tetrahydrocannabinol BRAK takes on aesthetic spheres of non linearity. Decisively a noise-rock band, “Friction” steamrolls at its own pace while never leaning into the downward spiral of “Punk” aesthetic tropes. In a cultural and social climate reliant on rules and adherence to standards of practice, BRAK stands totemic and atomic. Burning red hot, “Friction” blisters the listeners sensibilities; leaving the listener codependent to the sonic catharsis. “Friction” is to be played loudly, on loop, from your window, and onto the world.
