Gordon McInnes is from Glasgow and has lived there all of his life. He has been writing and producing music for the past 27 years. Gordon comes from a musical background. His late father was an ardent home producer in his spare time, writing and producing music in the style of New Age and ‘Gregorian Chants’ and has strongly influenced Gordon in his appreciation for the New Age Genre, Enya, Deep Forrest, Enigma. Gordon’s music has been heavily influenced by well known Trance acts such as 'Chicane' ‘Solar Stone’, ‘Blank and Jones’, ‘4-Strings’, ‘Space Brothers’ and ‘Rank 1’ all of which have influenced Gordon’s Trance projects whereby he goes by the alias ‘Goldengate’ which he started as a Trance project back in 2002.

This song is dedicated to everyone who gets a little melancholic when it rains...

RAINY DAY

The rain, a gentle mourner's song,
Whispers of days now far and long.
Each drop, a tear from heaven's eye,
Falling softly, a lullaby.

In the downpour's embrace, I find my pain,
A symphony of sorrow, a heart's refrain.
The rain-soaked earth, a mirror of the past,
Reflecting dreams that couldn't last.

As the clouds weep, I too recall,
The laughter, the joy, the rise and fall.
The rain's embrace, a tender pain,
Washing away, but leaving the stain.

Let it rain, let the memories flow,
For in the melancholy, I find solace and woe.

The Scartaris spacecraft hummed with a faint, electric glow as it glided through the labyrinthine caverns at the Earth's core, its sleek hull reflecting the eerie light of mystical glowing crystals embedded in the crumbling stone ruins of an ancient, forgotten civilization. A floating mystic fog swirled around the ship, casting ghostly shadows on the cavern walls, while the craft hovered over a vast underground lake, its surface shimmering with the reflections of the crystals’ ethereal blue light. Captain Elara Voss steered the Scartaris with steady hands, her eyes scanning the jagged stalactites overhead, knowing that the secrets of the long-lost culture—etched in the worn stone statues lining the cavern—held the key to the energy source her crew had been sent to find. As the ship pressed deeper into the heart of the Earth, the air thrummed with an otherworldly energy, whispering promises of discovery and danger in equal measure.
