Brooksie is a Bristol-based DJ who's been djing since 2000. He originally started out playing nu skool breaks, over the years of Djing in the bars and side rooms of techno and trance nights, he then incorporated the harder sounds into his sets with Techno and Acid Techno becoming the main elements of his record bag.

In 2006 he became part of Acidic Sound System who’s legendary nights always sold out at the Packhorse, this led to Brooksie djing on the Rave Yard stage at Boomtown festival from 2013 till 2017, then back with the Acid Leak stage in Area404 for the 2019 and 2022 editions of the festival.

He's been involved with nights such as Smash Techno, Acidic, Quantum Bleep, Firebreaks, DeadEdit, Tribe Of Frog, Ripsnorter as well as playing at Surplus, Wigfest, Hamswell, Phatdrop and Carry On Avinit festivals and has also been a regular on the dj line up in Sardinia at the Acid Punk Royale techno festival since 2017.

Brooksie is one of the driving forces behind The Brothers Grim, a collective who have been promoting now infamous nights at Techno towers and other venues across the city of Bristol, as well as hosting their monthly 'We Speak Techno' podcast on Safehouse Radio which along with the rest of the Brothers Grim crew features guest mixes from djs and producers from around the globe.

At age 14 I started mixing happy hardcore before discovering to drum bass, and by 18 was stomping to acid techno at a free parties and Headcharge in the legendary Sheffield Arches. The Prodigy has always been my favourite live event, and recently, Ren’s music has really resonated with me. Come for the beats, stay for the obscure references and questionable life choices.
